WARN Elite bumper and smittybilt winch

Please forgive me if this has been posted before, but I am planning to get a WARN Elite bumper installed and I have two questions:

1. The winch mount is inside the bumper, not on top, can I install e winch later without having to take off the whole bumper?

2. Since this is a WARN bumper, do other winches ( for example Smittybilt or Quadratec) fit on the mount?

I have looked in several places and it does not clearly say that the DO or DON'T fit.

Any advice is highly appreciated and goes a long way for a Newbie like me :-).

Thanks so much!

1. Yes. I just did it. It is a bit tight getting a wrench in there, but you can do it.

2. Yes. I put on the Engo E9000 on the same bumper.

I just put mine on today it took about 2 1/2 hours alone. There are many mounting holes for a wide number of different winches and no you don't have to take it off to mount your winch. I'll be mounting mine tomorrow.
I'm new a guy here told me at some point all of us were new at one time.

Is there a cover plate that can be had and used until a wench is put in the opening?
