Warn M8000 Winch Install

Got the winch installed, wired up, unspooled & respooled this last weekend. Does the solenoid install look ok?

The sales guy at 4wd added a solenoid bracket onto the sale and got real pushy when I asked if it was really needed. I didn't end up using the bought bracket and the one they shipped was even in an opened plastic baggie.

Cost them the sale of the front & rear xhd bumpers as the big Q matched 4wd pricing and threw in a big Q ballcap.

Looks clean if you ask me. At least from the angle you took the picture.

Looks great! I like those shackle mounts, reminds me of the ones they put on the Hummers, I'd love to get my hands on some of those, just a bit pricey for what they are IMO.

The turn angle between the two tires looks wrong in that picture. Must be an optical illusion. Jeep looks sharp though

Thanks - I think I took the picture looking head-on, but right of center.

I immediately checked it out when he posted and ya, it looked like you took it from head on to the driver side looking slightly angled to the passenger side. It did look strange at first glance.

So, to make sure I am understanding your post, as I am getting ready to do a Warn M8000 install, do I NOT need to order and additional solenoid bracket? Did yours come with the winch, or the mounting plate? I just want to make sure when I go to do the install, I have everything the first time to do it right without having to run out for parts, or order anything.

Wow, this post is 2 years old, I didn't get the bracket. I can post up some more pics if you'd like. You'll need a winch plate if you aren't using a winch bumper
