the supplemental seat air bags are just for the front seats. Will do nothing for the back seats and will only offer limited protection to the front seats with a side impact you experienced.

I will certainly have to keep you in mind. My original inquiry, though, was whether the price differs for a 2-door and a 4-door or is it the same?

Thanks!

One doesn't buy an extended warranty with the hope that they use it. Now a days when computers control everything on a vehicle, it isn't a bad idea. Some people don't buy them, and that is perfectly fine, but when a customer gets an opinion from someone else, I always ask them, is that person going to pay for your repairs? It is a question that the purchaser needs to ask and be solely responsible for their own purchase. Some dealers are not looking out for the customers best interest, some do. Not every dealer is a crook.

$1950, would buy an awful lot of aftermarket parts! To really get your value out of it you'll have to blow an engine or lose a tranny.... why not take the $1950, save it for a rainy day or invest it in something...find out what deductibles are also! and whats not covered... just hate to see you drop 2g's and find out something isnt on the list.

The biggest item to think of is the price of the lifetime warranty. The estimated cost that I've seen here ranges from $1,950 to $2,000 at wholesale for an Unlimited. Does anyone know if there is a difference in cost for a Wrangler? Thanks in advance!
There is only a 10 inch length difference according to the site.

Actually, there should be a 20" difference in length.

I like being able to open the back doors to put stuff in. Still a little ways to go so we'll see.

I have had 2 door wranglers since '94...(yep me again) and I DD or did till recently an '04 TJ....and as mentioned before we also have the '12 JK with ST...now I had mentioned that IMO I do not notice the difference in length ...yeah I mentioned that but here is another consideration.

To me the sunrider feature and it just being my wife and I USUALLY in the JK, we don't drop the top in it. and that brings us to the JKU Polar......The FREEDOM panels..we will still have that "topless feeling" in the front seat but no more unzipping the back window to load things it makes it so much easier to access the back end of the JEEP.

Bottom line IMO (I thought I would never say this) if you get a JKU, that is probably going to be more, "on - road" "than "off - road", get a HT..you will be glad you did.

Dunno about that - I had 1 ball joint go out, $1200. Warranty paid it all. I'm guessing the engine is more like $3500 plus a grand or two in labor. Just an AC repair can be over $1K these days. I look at it as prepaid repairs. And a free rental.

Hmmm! Per Jeep website, it's 153" vs 173".

However, per Cars.com, it's 163" vs 184".

Then, per Carprices.com, it's 153" vs 173".

I wonder if Cars.com's specs includes the spare???

I know the Unlimited is a Wrangler.

I am on a budget so I'm trying to get the estimates. The dealer would quote me the retail price. However, there was a member on this forum that would wholesale. I was hoping to get his input or anyone else who may have some insight.
.
If your on a budget look at the sport instead of the sahara. The differences between the two are merely cosmetic and "not necessary" equipment. If you plan to off road your jeep at all, the sport will hold up and look better longer than the sahara. Then you can get whatever extended warranty you want with the savings.
