Washer nozzel up grade. Videos (nsfw

so after driving the jeep for just over a year now i was really bothered by how little washer fluid got on the bottom half of the windshield my solution was to got to auto zone and get part number 47137, washer nozzle ,, cost was 20 bucks and 45 minutes installation time,, if you choose to do this mod make sure you mask off the hood and start with a small drill bit ,, i started with 1\8 and worked my way up to 19\64,, if fits tight, but thats how i wanted it . enjoy the videos,,, and dont mind the course language...... its how i talk all the time

Nice, looks like you did a great f&@in' job. Now, I'm going to have to do mine. Cigarette no, but it definitely looks like at least a two beer job.

Dang Green, another project. Going out....guess where the jeep is gonna detour to???

That's right, Auto Zone. I'm stacking my projects up. I have a super duper on board air system, still in the box from June. My project jeep YJ with my son has been taking precedence. Maybe I can squeak a nozzle or two in. Suppose to be bleeding the clutch with him this afternoon/evening.

JUST MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE about 10 freaking times,,, i went very close to the double wall under the hood,, so 6 3\4 inches off the end of the hood should work fine,,,,, now your clutch,, see if it well gravity bleed first,, makes the job a lot faster.

If you come down with a bad case of SA deep in the woods.
Press yo cheeks up against the windshield and fire away. keep a bar of soap in your glove box

Great idea though

Looks like if I had the top down I could wash my hair (if I had any) and clean my glasses all at once. Good useful information.

Cheers

@GM

I got the only 74134 on the shelf. $18 plus change with the extra for the governor. The package was opened and taped shut. There were two nozzles, two seals for nozzles, two nozzle nuts, two tube couplers, two small tubes, and one metal tab. I can figure out what all the plastics are for but what is the metal tab for??

How far from the center did you put yours? Are they aimed straight or at an angle to the side?

I'm taking you mean 6-3/4" from the edge of the hood closest to the windshield to the hole center....yes?

On the clutch gravity bleed, just open the valve and keep filling the reservoir until air is out of the line?

lol, i was at a loss for the metal tab myself,( i tossed it in the neighbors yard ) as for where i drilled into the hood, it was 4 inches from the left and right side of the factory nozzle. and yes you are correct 6 3\4 inches from the edge of the hood closest to the windshield ,,, heres some pictures i took just for you, oh and i have the at a 45 deg angle towards the outside of the windshield ,,, hope this helps you,, if not , shoot me a pm.

This kit should come with GM narrative.
Metal tab is used to help turn the orientation of the spray.

I don't have Autozone in Canada so I found this part for $10.59 on Amazon. Search: Dorman 47137 Windshield Washer Nozzle Kit.

Thanks GM for bringing this mod to my attention and the video/pics.
