WATER droplets in my tail light?

I got this 2013 Wrangler about a month ago. It has rained here for the last week or so off and on. I went out to make sure my doors where locked and went around back and glanced down at the passenger side tail light and it had frickin water in it.

My question is, if I go out to the dealer I got it from will a new tail light be covered under warranty? I do not want a leaky tail light. The other side is dry as a bone.

Thanks.

Take her back. They will fix it.

I would call first and tell them the taillight seal is bad causing a leak so they have time to order it in so it's a quick fix.

Just got back from dealership. Replaced right rear tail light in about 45 minutes in and out.

I have the same exact thing, same light. Noticed it a few months ago and havent had a chance to get to the dealer. This may be a sign for me to go and get it fixed.

My passenger side had drops too. I just wiped it out after putting on guards this weekend. The first thing I noticed is it appears the plastic tail light housing just butts up against the body with no apparent gasket. Is this right??! It wouldn't be a big deal accept JK's have a hole in the body behind the tail light where the wires come out and this hole is a huge rectangular hole just smaller than the light itself. Seems they could have just put a small round hole for the wire to come out and had a flat rubber gasket around that. But the back of the tail light is hollow and with the big hole in the body, what the hell is supposed to keep the water from entering the body behind the tail light? This blew me away when I saw it. Not impressed.

seems to be only the passenger side that gives problem. Chrysler knows the problem and changed the hole unit. when they opened it up the socket was all corroded

Mine did that twice. Also had the screws come undone on both sides. This was in it's first year still. Haven't had a problem yet since the last replacement. Just water leaks still. Had the seals replaced so many times already

I've had my JK for about two weeks and it has rained ever since. I noticed today I am having the same issue with the same light. Guess I will be calling the dealer on Monday!

So is to leaking at the face plate where the screws are or where the assembly meets the body? Just kinda curious.

Had my passenger tail light replaced under warranty last Friday for this very issue. It took them a good week and a half to get the replacement in, but once it was in no issues.

Mine has the same thing as yours. Dealer said huh. Dealers are absolutely terrible with warranty stuff. What will happen if I leave it like that. Don't want them touching my jeep.

Nothing. Its water condensation it happens. Jeep tail lights are thr cheapest POS ever since they manufactured the first one. But I digress, either buy an aftermarket light or lense and that should fix your issue
