Water leaks around doors

I have an 08 Wrangler and it's been nothing but a pain with leaks on the roof and doors. Well the dealer put a brand new roof on and those leaks have ended. I still get water coming in around the doors though. It's been back 7 times for the issue. It wouldn't be that big of an issue if there was no carpet, but it gets soaked every rain is just not acceptable. This time a regional person is going to be involved with fixing it once and for all. Anyone else have similar issues with water coming in around the doors?

Yes this seems to be a fairly common issue. I had this problem. Look up the thread "my leaky jeep" I think there is a list of possible fixes in there the dealer can try. Look and see if you can find a TSB # IN THERE. I would post the link but I'm on my phone.

It's fairly common among those that have leaks. I have no leaks.

Maybe it just hasn't rained lately.

Exclamation

I am use to the leaks around the doors. I took out my carpet for good. Easier to check for leaks and easy clean up if needed. For those who have carpet, be sure to pull it out and let everything airdry, or you will be very disapointed Jeeper in 3 years regarding the floor boards from standing water and moisture buildup.

You cant lemon law if the defect doesnt endanger you or doesny impair the way the vehicle operates.

mine leaks from the back window and the passenger door. so I just took the carpet out and take the plugs out so it can drain, really does not bother me. It's a Jeep

Yeah but water in your "vehicle designed to be topless in all weather" isnt a defect, there are tsbs and chrysler will do everything they can to fight the lemon law, i know ive filed one and won, but for something wayyyy more serious.

Think my driver side door leaks. found my floor soaked the other day. We had a lot of rain and had to drive in washed out roads with standing water almost up to my doors. Somehow took on water. But it dried and it's all good now!

If you look at the softtop of a 09 and older and compare it to a 2010, there is a rubber piece that hangs over the door, it directs water over the door during rain instead of down the door frame and eventually through the seals, down the a pillars, over your brake pedal, and to your carpet.
