Water proof audio system.

Ok Lets see your set up I want more than a stock radio and would like the navigation also BUT and I say BUT. I ride top down about 85% of the time rain or shine hot or cold. So the question is does anyone have a system that can withstand the elements? If not who has a marine setup in there rig so the rain don't bother your system??

Please post pics if you have some.

The reason I am posting this is cause I wash the inside of my jeep out with a water hose.

I would love to know this to. I inevitably end up putting top and doors on any time the chance of rain goes up to protect electronics.

Try looking for a marine system. They make some water resistant systems for boats, at least they used to back in my consumer electronic days.

I'm not talking about "marine radios" as in 2-way radios. They actually made audio systems for boats that were water resistant. There is no reason they wouldn't work in a Jeep.

A quick google search turbed up a ton of options. Here is an example: Marine Stereos & CD Player, Sirius XM Satellite Ready Boat Radios

I have a system in my 24' Malibu wakeboard boat (16 waterproof speakers, monstrous subwoofer, 2 waterproof control panels IN ADDITION to the head unit, one of the control panels is at the swim-deck area that gets quite wet , and an amp the size of a suitcase) that would probably destroy my Jeep! Yup, you can get a pretty awesome stereo that's made for exposure to the elements. A marine unit would work if you really wanted to do it.

Thanks for the link but I am trying to find a dvd/cd/mp3/am/fm/nav system hoping to find one water proof so I dont have to worry about my top down when it rains.

I've owned 3 wranglers. Both my Tj and Yj had decent 2K-3k stereo systems installed.
Been rained on a handful of times. I mean soaked big time NEVER EVER had a problem with water ruining anything.
I still have amps left over from my Tj, I haven't installed them in my Jk yet.
