Weight of the hard top?

We are getting ready to build a hoist to take off my hard top. Hubby wants to know how much it weighs. Anyone have an approximate weight of the hard top for a '10 JKU?

Ok....he was worried the 440# wouldn't be enough but I though it couldn't possibly weigh that much!

Definitely don't have to worry about 440! I would say 120 is pretty close. I can tell you that two guys can easily lift it on and off.

I'm installing the Harken Hoister hard top hoist system. I installed their light duty one for our SUP's aka paddleboards and worked great.

I lift it over my head and walk it off. Or I make my wife help.

I as well with my four door. Or I just slide it off the back as much as possible, get underneath it and lift. Really not that bad if you don't have the arms of a 10 or 70 year old.

id say around 100lbs. the problem isnt the weight, the problem is the awkward size and shape and the windows tendency to fly open if you lean it too far back....

A lot of people always wonder about these weights so i used a digital bathroo scale to weigh stuff..i remove my backwindow so i can solo remove my hard top without the akward extra weight,,hence the seperate weight for window..

2012 2dr rubicon stock with hardtop and power group doors

Freedom panels -16.2lb each
Hardtop without back window-74.5lbs
Backwindow with wiper motor-23.5lbs
Full power doors-63.3lbs each
Stock rubicon spare,,new-74lbs on the dot

My rubicon has front springs of 14 and rear 56..
Measured center line of wheel to lip of wheel well i am roughly 36 1/2 inches high without top and doors on

I lose about 1/4inch or so of height when i put them on..
