Great color, although, I admit I'm a bit biased.

very nice Jeeps!

congrats verdugan - great looking rubi!

a couple positive updates from my experiences so far - been driving in rain the past 2 days and so far, no leaks (KNOCK ON WOOD). I havent moved the freedom tops since the purchase - I wanted to wait until it rained to see if it leaked/didnt leak as delivered from the factory. so now, if it continues to stay dry, i'd have to think that if it did eventually leak after i remove and replace the tops that it's user error. would that be safe to assume?

also, i got the auto temp controls and they are working great. set it and forget it, just like being in your house. set to 75 and it heats/cools as needed to stay constant.

uconnect is working great. set up my phone via bluetooth and it works like a champ. easy to hear whoever i'm talking to and they can hear me clear as a bell also. voice controls are awesome too. have my ipod plugged in using the USB in the center console and you can easily give a command like "play artist metallica" and it pulls it right up. infinity system sounds great to me to top it all off.

That's the case most of the time.

All i can say at this point is that it looks great! I have the alpaca tan leather in my LR3 which looks fantastic new but has been hard to keep clean. The front seats have a nice blue tint from our jeans rubbing on them.

I'm getting very envious of all of you! My 2012 Sahara (black pearl green w/black hard top, black leather interior, 430N, connectivity, side air bags) went into D1 on 12/2. Supposed to begin the trip to Seattle late next week and is tentitively set to be here on 12/28. Trying to take a deep breath and tell myself "Three more weeks...just three more weeks..."

I have an o6 G35 Coupe and the Jeep will be my second vehicle. He has an 06 Charger, SRT8 and an F350. I know he's gonna be all over my Jeep when it gets here

What a bunch of great looking Jeeps! Thanks for all of the photos and comments. I really like all of the different colors, and how the lighting can really change how the car looks.

Still loving mine, no big discoveries here that haven't already been mentioned - I think the remote start is my favorite new toy!

For those of you still waiting - great decision to buy a Wrangler! You'll love the new drive train, and everything else.

update on my non leaking...

after yesterday's nor easter blew through VA and we had some downright downpoors of rain, I got into my Jeep after work and had 2 tiny drops of water on the inner molding under the front passenger door. i could also see just a couple places where you could tell that a few drops of water had flowed down the crease in the door where it meets the jeep at the hingers (does that make sense?) - felt the carpet on the passenger side and it was dry as can be so that was comforting. so I'll keep monitoring to see if that happens with every rain or just with some serious rainfall. if it only happens when its monsooning outside, i can live with that. it also dried up as I drove home and did not continue to leak. anyone else have anything like that happening? i checked all my other doors and no leaks at other points in the Jeep, just the front passenger door which I've read quite a bit about.

Photos when you have a chance, please. Is it drivable with the 35s before you get the lift installed? Can you please provide details on your wheels and the lift kit you are going to use? I am leaning toward the Teraflex and it requires max 4.5 in back space.

As far as leaks - none here as I mentioned earlier. As a matter of fact my doors seal better than any car I have ever owned. With the windows closed I have to close the doors pretty hard to get them shut the first time - any one else seeing this. I figure it will get easier over time. I wish they had the windows automatically crack open a bit so the doors are easier to secure.

No pics - no changes! Still loving it!

couldnt be happier with the new jeep. fully loaded 2012 JKU. two complaints though,

1)no back up camera or sensors, if this thing plays pandora off my iphone wireless, give me some freaking beeps when im backing up

2) I took the moon roof off once and now its been leaking consistently in different corners, had to take it off and put it on IN THE RAIN twice. even after that it just drips from a different spot

Some questions for you guys if you could help,

1) going back and forth between a 3' lift or the 4.5. Quadretec rep suggested the AEV kit for 1700. What are your thoughts? I will barly be doing anything serious off roading. mostly winter stuff in NY. just going for the monster truck feel.

2) Do you need to put bigger tires on as soon as you lift it? will the stock rubicon wheels look stupid on a 4.5 lift?

3) should i go 35's or 37's?

thanks!

Hi all! New to this forum and new to Jeep! Got a JKU two days before Christmas. I've wanted one ever since high school and finally got one! Just got the front tints to match the rear. Next step is getting new wheels/tires.

i thought it might be done today, but no luck. hopefully, tomorrow.

i went with the 17" AEV pintlers in silver with 35" BFG KM2s and the AEV 3.5" lift. the wheels have enough backspacing to not need wheel spacers. i actually like the factory wheels a lot but didn't want to use the wheel spacers due to mixed reviews on their safety. i also thought about going with the 17" mopar steel winter wheels like on the overland concept from a few years ago, but they needed spacers as well.

the 35" tires are too big to clear without the lift. the dealer took off the factory wheels/tires for me while it was on the rack. i then took them to discount tire where they took the TPMS out to go on the new AEV wheels. i then made a few trips back and forth taking the new wheels/tires back to the dealer. i then sold the factory wheels/tires for $1,000 with 14 miles on them.

i went with the AEV lift after reading so many reviews about how well it rides on the road. the installer guys were pretty impressed with how thorough the lift kit was. i'll give impressions once i get this thing. its driving me nuts!

after doing over a year's worth of research before buying my jeep and carefully planning my setup, here's my thoughts.

1. if you don't plan on doing much serious offroading, i would go with a 3-3.5" lift. this height already puts you into the realm of having to consider new driveshafts and more wear/tear.

2. yes. with a 4.5" lift the 32" factory tires/wheels will look awful. 4.5" is a lot of lift and a 35" tire can even look small at that height.

3. go with 35"s. if you don't plan on that much offroading, 35"s will give you a great look but with less cost and less need for regearing. also, which factory gearing did you get? 3.73 or 4.10? the 3.73 will be less than ideal with 35"s and awful with 37"s.

Okay, I officially have 300 miles on him, so almost time for first oil change. Still breaking engine in, but very eager to hit the trail. So far I have done wheels, tires, tint, and got rid of all those stickers.....Looks like January may be my lift month! All in all, I love, love my new ride! Have not had any issue at all yet (leaks, etc) knock-on-wood

Thanks post yours when you get it, I could not decide between Dark Forrest Green and the Cherry Red. I'm certain I would have been happy with either but this one came in first .
