Bumper fender fender flare grill and the rack put a dent and a crease in the back door. And have to dismount two tires on that side to get the fur out of the bead.
Get on Google and start checking out flat fenders and steel bumpers... Insurance is going to be kicking in so it's a great time for low cost upgrades!!
Mainly she is OK! For what Mopar wants for parts I see an upgrade in her future! A Buddy hit an Elk by Lake Tahoe, and Fish and Game made him give it up to a home,or be served with hunting out off season, but this is the left coast what do you expect...
I believe here they just make you purchase a license, then apply the tag, then its yours to bring to the butcher. You do have to clean it right there at the side of the road to, I believe.
Where I live the deer are very prevalent particularly during Spring and Fall.
Little story;
Just the other day I was heading to my fav. steelhead river to do a little fishing, swinging flies for the silver bullets,with the two handed fly rod.. Anyway I was cruising along listening to tunes with all my gear in the back of the Jeep,checking out the scenery,and anticipating another day on the beautifully scenic river that I'm about to fish...when this pickup truck blows by me,in one he!! of a hurry. He gets by me and is disappearing into the distance,when all of a sudden I see brake lights and the truck nosing heavily and swerving....and one deer runs out in front of him...then another. He made it without hitting them but it was pretty touch and go for a split second or two...I think it made him slow right down,as I caught up to him and he wasn't in such a hurry anymore LOL!!
The really crucial thing about this is...this.... if one deer runs out in front of you,while driving down the road, there could be one,or many more..right behind the first one...always remember that...and look and be careful...I know I've had it happen more than a few times...you see one expect more!!
Haha everyone wants upgrades. We don't plan on wheelin the jeep much mainly me when I'm ice fishin or hunting. All we plan on doing is just a small lift 2 inches or so and 33's. Want the bfg ko2 34's but I Dono everyone has to much to say about actual size. Either way big upgrades won't be needed for what we want. Worst part is we just ordered a light bar and mount for the grill and I was going to get it installed for her and the jeep cleaned as a surprise because we're going on vacation in a couple days and won't need a vehicle. Guess that won't happen

Glad that your wife was OK. Fortunately, she was driving a sturdy Jeep and not something lighter.
A little over a year ago I hit a deer while pedaling to work on my bicycle at around 20 mph. The deer got the better end of that encounter but I'm OK now except for a scar reminder.
Well guys the day has finally come. The jeep is finally repaired after some back ordered parts came in. Wife picks it up this afternoon and she is some happy to get her jeep back.
