Wet carpet and Floor mats...please help

So i have 8700 miles on the car, everything is great except 2 things...1, i have rubber floor mats, then the carpeted floor mat then the carpet itself, and the carpet and the underside of the removable carpet floor mat are soaked, and its been cold so the water freezes, i do not want this as it will eventually start to smell like a vietnamese guard dog on a summer day, and i also do not want any rust to build up.
2- when i purchased the car i had the stealership install window tints on the front windows, the bottom of the window (when it is closed) is already unpeeling itself, it is not that noticeable but you can hear it crinkling and everytime i roll the window down you can hear it getting worse, since they are fairly new, will the dealership re-apply new tints to that window since they are falling off so early?

Sorry for the long post, just want my car to last as long as possible that is all, i appreciate any help from whoever helps

Take it back to the dealer & have them look at it, have you driven through deep water or is that just from a leak? To darn right the tint should last years & it should be replaced if it's peeling already.
In regard to the water in the carpet, if you can't get to the dealer for a couple of days you may have to take the carpet out & put it somewhere warm to dry & air out. There are plugs in the floor you can take out if you get water in there but don't leave them out for good. So go to the dealer & give them a chance to make it right

yea i am taking it to the dealership tomorrow, i was just curious if i could have done anything before hand about the water in the bottom. There is no standing water, it is just wet and the carpet is actually frozen under the mat, i had to peel the floor mat off the carpet. Ill let everyone know what happens tomorrow after my appointment

If you don't find any leaks, it may just be from your BOOTS and what water/ice/snow comes into the vehicle every time you've jumped in this winter. I had same problem...in the winter my floor mats were SOAKED and because it was so cold, never evaporated. Realized after checking everything else that it was from my boots bringing IN the crap.
Not much you can do, except knock your boots as you get in. Only water problem I have had with my 03 rubi is the replacement soft top windows on the doors, the seals were 'flipped' because we couldn't pull the fabric tight enough with the velcro and that let rain inside. Finally fixed it about the end of the season...other than that, no leaks anywhere.

There are others who've had similar issues. Take a looks at this thread, which tosses out some possibilities: (http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/wat...mat-65370.html).

Fn Water!

That link was very helpful. I have a new jeep and just noticed about an inch of water in my passenger side. I just pulled the carpet out. Do you have an idea of where I can get a "thicker" door seal....got that out of the link you posted

Are you going to take it to a dealer for a repair under warranty?

Vornado fans rock.

Do any of you guys have sill guards? Just curious. I've got Bushwacker side armor, which comes with integrated sill guards, and even if I spray high-pressure water at the bottoms of my doors, no water gets in. I tried it, just to see if putting the armor on would cause a leak. Maybe, instead, it's kinda plugging it? Just a thought.

I don't think it would be worth my time to take it back to the dealer. Thinkin about it now I should be able to take it to any dealer?right? The place I bought it from is about 1.5 hrs away.
I did purchase a Mopar 1/2 cover for it...for summer so i can leave my top back. Guess I may just have to use that for now.

Do not let the leak go unrepaired. Yours will eventually cause problems and possibly reduce resale value.

IT CAN BE FOUND AND FIXED!

Any dealer will help fix it if you're still under warranty. You should shop around for a dealer the same way you shopped for your Wrangler, anyway. For example, my dealer is awesome about mods...very tolerant of all but the most blatant idiocy (6" lift w/no adj ca's or tb's on 40" tires might be frowned upon).

Check out his post #10.
Use his brilliant "Celtic's Water Leak Location Method."

@Celtic... You should post your method in a new thread so everybody will benefit from it! I think it is a real breakthrough in our fight against the Wangler water leak problem.....
