Wet Okole or Trek Armor

Looking for some opinions on front seat covers for my 2013 white Sahara.

I live in North Forida and want something to protect the leather seats from sweat (after CrossFit a few times a week), saltwater (getting in after kitesurfing) and pop up t-storms when the top's off. Also, black leather seats + Florida summer sun with the top down = really freakin' hot!

I've narrowed it down to wet okole or trek armor.

If I go with the wet okoles I'm thinking black w/ solar yellow. Trek Armors probably the black w/coyote.

Thanks for your input

I'm in the same boat, down in Vilano Beach. My wife wanted a yellow jeep, which they don't make any more, so I was looking at yellow neoprene seat covers. The other thread referenced seems to be trending to the Trek Armor. I'm torn between "yellowing" up the Jeep for her (WO), and buying the (seemingly) better performing product (TA).

No, unfortunately the 5 yr old is sick, and my wife is not really up for long outings yet. She is still shaking off the effects of chemo and radiation. Plus it's my 10 yr anniversary tonight, so probably just a beach day for us tomorrow at porpoise point.

Paul-sorry to hear about your wife. Hope she's doing ok. Happy anniversary!!

I'm in Gulf Shores , Al so similar climate. Got the TA's for my wife over the WO's because if the swampbutt problems with the neoprene on the WO's.
I will definitely be getting a set for my JKU as well. Super quality very well worth the price.

Is the neoprene really any different between the two as far as swamp butt ? It would seem neoprene on either one would have the same characteristics or am I missing something ?

I'm new to the site, but I do live in HI where the Wet Okoles are made right down the street. Everyone out here loves them. I hear no complaints of swamp butt.

Thanks MyJeep. Do you think the trek armors are better for sweat sweat and saltwater?

I really want the Trek Armor covers, unfortunately they are not compatible with Side-Air Bags in my 2013 JKUR. I may have to get Wet Okole just because of the Side-Air bags in the front seats.

There are no issues here with that either, an all black Jeep with all black WO covers, and I'm not a small person so if anyone would have the issue it would be me.

I'm not sure what people are talking about in regard to this. I think it's just the thing to say by people who haven't tried them....

WO's here -- love 'em and no issues with swamp butt. However, two issues I wish were beeter - installation instructions are non-existent, and they are not completely self-explanatory, particularly with the seat belts in the rear. Also, I think they should have had an elastic strip around the bottom, so the covers fit snugly around the bottom of the seat, instead of just sort of hanging there. The straps are good, but still don't provide a clean looking fit at the bottom of the seat, IMO.

The elastic would help, it wouldn't take much....

Trek Armor here.

I had the Wet Okoles in my old F-150 and liked them. To me the Trek Armor are better though. They fit better and seem to made of a stronger material. Haven't noticed any swapbutt issues here, and south LA gets freaking hot and humid.

Yes, this is the exact color scheme I just ordered from Mitch for my granite JK. Glad I was able to see this. Can't wait for them to come in the mail (a couple months from now lol).

Trek Armor here.

Aren't WO made of neoprene (wetsuit material)?

If so anyone who has worn a wetsuit knows they are not waterproof.

Does WO have some other layer or membrane making them waterproof?

If not don't they just soak up water and remain damp?

I like the colors of the WO when I did my research. But way, way too many "swamp butt" comments in reviews. And I live in North Texas!

I went w/Trek Armor and love them!!!

You'll love them. They fit and look great and the best part is, when they get dirty, you only need a wet rag to clean them off. I got mud all over mine last week and just wiped them off with a wet rag and let them dry. Came out perfectly clean.

I hope you realize that it is still valid information and if someone was to find this post, especially since it has been brought to the forefront again, they would find this information and can still use it.
