Wet Okole Waiting...

I ordered my Wet Okole seat covers (fronts only) back on June 11...and I see through Quadratec's website that they're still at the warehouse. Is this typical? Even if they wait until an order is placed before making them (which I'm sure is the case), does it really take this long?

Anyone else have this experience?

Thanks.

Brian

Back out. Q-tec won't charge until they are shipped anyhow, correct?

I ordered mine on June 10th and didn't expect them to be shipped until July 24th. They say on the site 4 - 6 weeks?

I ordered mine last month as well. I spoke with them on the phone (not thru Quadratec), and they said 6 - 10 weeks, after they received my payment. Took almost two weeks for the payment to show up on my card (they must process it pretty slow). I expect to have them sometime in August. Anything before that, would be a bonus.

You CAN order directly from wet okole, and if you're local enough they will do a pro install for free. Free= after they've charged you an arm and a leg for the seat covers.

I was warned prior to placing the order that they were a little slow, so that was no biggie. As long as I know upfront I'm OK with it. I don't tend to move real fast myself either ;-)

UPDATE:
Got the seat covers in and installed. Seat covers look good! They fit tight. Delivery took about 45 days. The smell is not so great, but hoping it wears off after a while.

Thank you for this thread. The first thing I planned on ordering after my '13 Rubi came in was catch all floor mats and seat covers. I'll be sure to put in the order for them right after the jeep order now so I can have it all on day one.

I ordered mine about 4 weeks ago and received mine yesterday. Does anyone have any good install advice? I forked out the big bucks because I heard they were top quality, hope it proves true.

It took 4 weeks to get mine. It must depend on the time of the year ordered. I am in the process of installing mine. Follow the generic instructions. Tags mean driver's side. The back seats looks great. I did those first and I did the bottom seat area before the back rest, then the head rests in that order. The same with the fronts, which are a bit harder to get your hands under. The front bottom seats look good, although the back rest pull across the back rests since they are concave. Just the way it is, I guess. I feel the rear head rests fit better than the front head rests. Just be careful, when working with your hands under the front seats and then touching the Okoles. I got some grease on mine, that was easy to remove with a little simple green. Overall they look very nice and worth the money. Mine are black outers with solar yellow centers. If you go topless, make sure you buy the UV treatment, otherwise neoprene will fade. I don't get any "swamp ass" at all.

PS Dont pull them too tight or you risk ripping the strap connectors.

To clean them use neoprene wet suit cleaner while on the seats. No need to ever remove them.

I got my seat covers in less than 2 weeks,

You should go to the source and go to wetokole.com and get someone on the horn.

I will say, ive seen other seat covers, and the wet okoles, id wait for.

Yeah, but you are a VIP.

I really like the fit and feel of them. Never thought I would be so happy with Seat Covers! x2 on the wait as they are worth it!

I've seen these in some magazines. I always wondered how they fit. I've seen people buy those cheap seat covers from Autozone and such and well... we all know how those look.

How about some pics of these seat covers guys =D

I am seriously considering a set, but I've got a friend who says it makes his ass sweat like crazy. I live in GA and the last thing I need is more ass sweat. Anybody from the south have a set of these?

The only advice I can offer is if you ordered a full seat it is 100% easier to install the rear covers if you partially fold the rear seat forward. I installed 2 sets about a month apart and wish I had realized that trick the first time around.

One thing to remember: If you have a fat ass any wet suit product will make it sweat more than a skinny ass!

Dallas, Texas and I have no problems with that issue. Tell your friend to loose a couple of pounds.
