Question What am I missing? (soft top - first time up)

So I bought an 08 4 door a couple weeks ago that came with a soft and hard top, the hard top was installed and they simply gave me the soft top with it. I was on vacation for a week and haven't been able to play with it. Yesterday I took the doors and hard top off. When I tried to put the soft top on I found that I'm missing the screws that attach the "swing arms" at the rear to the roll cage. Simple enough, I'm using some pins right now until I can get back to the dealer to ask for them. Never having done this before something simply isn't adding up... there are gaps all over the place where the soft top should be held to something that I'm apparently missing. I looked at another 4 door Wrangler today who had a plastic piece surrounding his doors where the soft top appears to connect (lay in a channel, something). I don't have whatever that piece is but don't know what I'm talking about totally either. Can someone tell me exactly what it is that I'm missing? See pics to see what I'm talking about, there is an open space between the top of both doors and the back of the rear door.

Also, the soft top doesn't have anything to attach to under the rear plastic window. We're expecting rain tomorrow and the dealer that I bought this from is an hour away... bummer. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

TIA.

It looks like you're missing all the door surrounds which is where the top folds into and the doors close into so that they are sealed.

You are missing what is known as the door surrounds.

I think you are missing the door surrounds. They are the black plastic peices that, you guessed it, surround the doors. I have a 2 dr so I don't know how dif the tops are, but the door surrounds are black plastic and fairly thick. They screw into the roll bar and thats what the top sits on over the doors. As for the back, its a long black bar that has a channel in it that you slide the bottom part of the rear window into. If you dont have it, the back is going to let in a whole bunch of water. Maybe tape the bottom of the window to the tailgate and dont open it. Hope this helps
