It's a nice rim, but they don't come in small enough sizes. If you deflate that tire to 10psi or even 15psi, you have almost no sidewall between the ground and the rim. It's just a recipe for cracked, dented, or at least scratched rims

Agree with this. It's ok for a mall crawler, but not if you're going to wheel it.

Like you, I had a dumb little girl damage my bumper. But it was because she wasn't in a crosswalk.

Comes in 17", doesn't seem like it'd be a problem?

Checkout the Spyder rear bumper. It's basically a knockoff of the XRC but at <500 for both the bumper & tire carrier, you can't beat it.

They come with a chrome center cap which looks best if painted black. Otherwise everyone including me think they are sweet. Like I said to each there own.

Forum mindset. One or two people say they don't like them and everyone else piles on. You see it all the time if you watch closely...

I have seen them get a bad rap on here because sooo many people run them,(there are more reasons of course) I have heard a lot of times how unoriginal they are. Good thing all black rims look the same beyond 75 feet or so..............

X2. If you live in chicago you need the heaviest bumpers and sliders you can get to keep all the dim wits from "hurting" your vehicle. I've had 6 vehicles since I was 16 and all 6 have been damaged in some way by these licensed idiots in this city.

It seems that you see a lot of rockstar rims on 15 year old Dodge Ram pickups with faded black paint driven by guys wearing tapout t-shirts. That is where they get their reputation.

Possibly a rear "interior" carriage rack on a jku. You can't get a soft top down all the way but you can still see fine. If you get one though don't bother buying a boot for it. Just bungie the puppy down.

Good call, very prevalent here in Orlando. But on the right application I think they look great.

Tube doors.

Protection is laughable, cost is significant.
