I'm not a huge fan of neon lighting under a Jeep, I think that's probably best left to slightly more "bling" vehicles but I largely agree with Thracks. If it works for you, go for it.
For some reason it really angers me when I see these, and I have to quench the little desire that builds inside me to punch the owner of the vehicle in the face. I cannot explain the feeling, nor do I like it, but it is there.
10 to 1 says someone gets butt hurt in a bad way over this thread. That being said I am not a fan of Halo lights on a jeep at all, even on a dedicated mall crawler.
But to keep on topic (with the disclaimer that this is just my opinion, and if you have one of these that's awesome because it's your Jeep and you can do whatevs you want): stick family decals, but that applies to any vehicle.
I'm not a fan of any 'built' rig that isn't used for it's intended purpose, but I don't waste time worrying about it. Someone will eventually get a used rig with everything they need, but not beat up, so it's really a win..
I firmly believe to buy your vehicles for function, but I know there are others out there will disagree, I am all for making you ride look good so any mod is good if you like it... That said do not buy a Wrangler to roll 20" rims with lo-pro tires, fully chromed with LED or Fluorescent hi-lite lighting down the boulevard. Wranglers were purpose built vehicles for those who like to ride topless off the beaten path.
Mod with Function being your first priority, and looks your second, and in the end you will have a Bada$$ Wrangler that other Jeepers will love to talk about with you. Remember there is no right way to Mod a Jeep only your way.

LOL! I think the Rockstars... well... Rock!
I think any wheel smaller than 17" belongs on a Mini Cooper.
But 15's and 16's are accepted and expected if you still rock a "Mullet" haircut.
And for crying out loud throw away that Starsky and Hutch t-shirt.
Opinions are personal, and everyone is entitled to theirs.
Just keep a sense of humor, because if you like it who really cares.
I am of the belief that it is your Jeep and you should make it what you want! That being said, I hate looking at chrome on a Jeep.... With that said, I have chrome wheels. (Purchased for $40 a piece, I want to trash them before I buy new ones.)
I guess I would not call it a douchey upgrade, but it's not what I would do.
Meh...
On a Wrangler, lots of blingy chrome. I don't mind chrome on Wrangler's, but obnoxious is obnoxious.
Large chrome rims with low profile tires.
With that said...since it isn't my money. The person I'm telling what not to add to their Jeep is free to (and should) tell me to STFU (that is what I would do).
You sir, are just begging to stir up trouble. Mods are a very personal thing to each individual. Some people like to emulate others and copy the things they like,... others like to do things that are original and make a personal statement. Still others like to make "improvements" on what the factory was unable to do in the first place.
Now to answer your question... and these are only my opinions, and only applies to me, and meant not to offend anyone who disagrees... but you asked... these are douchy mods ... to me. :hide:
-The aforementioned Rockstar wheels...
-Any wheels over 18" ( and in some cases including 18")
- tinted marker lights
- Grenade shift knobs
- chrome anything
- "Angry eyes" light covers
- I've got more...
... and these are only my opinions, and only applies to me, and meant not to offend anyone who disagrees... but you asked... these are douchy mods ... to me. :hide:
Lets see. I have Led strips underneath and Halo lights. The halos are just for drl, you can't really see them when headlights are on. The led strips do help for off road, but sometimes you Kay wanna look fly.
I hate chrome on a jeep but I understand why some people get them. Actually, I mostly understand why anyone does anything.
I always like the way stock jeeps look except when its mine.
My only real gripe...
4x4 stickers on a jeep
