Side question: do you have to drill into the side of the windshield frame to bolt the top support in? The bottom goes to the hood latch
Here's a link to Offroad Elements. High quality stuff. Excellent customer service and communication. Fast delivery. Everything top notch across the board:
I also bought one of their grill screen kits and got a package deal.
I can take more pictures from different angles if anyone wants. These are just what I had on my phone.
YES you have to drill. And I was skeptical at first. There's a very thick piece of tape (similar to 3M clear bra material) attached to the mounting brackets that mount to the windshield frame. This material protects the paint and seals around the self tappers included in the kit. Of course I used a q-tip with paint to seal the holes, or did I use clear nail polish? Whatever, but definitely cover the bare metal for paint integrity and longevity.
Had them since last summer and they have held up perfectly thus far in winter conditions (mag-chloride, salt, sand, power washing, drive through car wash, etc.)
You can see where branches were smashing and scratching my windshield frame before I had them.
