i got my jeep in Dec. its a 2012 JK sport. i wanted Yellow but everyone talked me out of the color so it was down to White or Black. and i went with Black. because in the end i was the better price and the dealership could find one with the things I wanted on it like hard top only and side steps. it was tough finding it in NY for somereason.

i love the black only think i think it needs or might do is get black rims but for now its pretty sweet. i do wonder if white would have been better but oh well black is cool. my next jeep in 3 -5 years will be white or silver or yellow. so its cool to start out as my frist ever jeep in Black

'12 Dozer Sahara here and very happy. Had all of the regular colors on other cars owned in the past so wanted either a crush or a dozer. In the end went with dozer, as we found the crush to be way too orange after seeing a bunch of them in different lighting. Really like dozer, looks awesome in pictures on trails and in the city it turns lots of heads (to my surprise). I think it's hands down the best color out of the ones curently available, if your goal is a FUN sunrider to take on trails topless... If you want a classier look, dcr, black and white are GREAT colors, but that's not what we were going for.

ive got a white tj with tan interior and khaki diamond soft top, which is my favorite color combination. I have always really liked the dark green jeeps and I like red on the TJs but for some reason I really dont like red or white on the JK. I love the winter chill color for the JK though and I like rescue green but I dont think it looks as good as the old forest green did on the TJs. I hope I always own a white TJ but if I ever get a JK i will get winter chill or the new khaki, those look great.

We have the deep cherry red and love it. Tried for the cosmos blue and was told none in Canada at the time so we tried for gecko green, found 20 of them and they were all sold except for one and the dealer that had it wanted more money than sticker due to other people wanting it too. Told them to take a hike and found the deep cherry 2 hours away.

Mine is red and I am so very glad I ended up with it, but it took a few tries to realize just how much I wanted it. The very first color image I got in my head was red, but I strayed to other colors as I saw them on the lots of three dealerships I ended up hitting.
The first dealership I went to had a white one and I thought I really like it sitting there all nice and new. But.... when I was looking at and driving the white one I saw a red one on the road and loved it. But when I drove the red one I saw a black one and loved it. My first deal making session was on a Black one but I actually changed horses in the middle of that stream and the salesman almost lost his cool when I said I now want a white one. The deal did not make me happy and I left. They sold the red one the next day.
In the end red was the first gut feeling I had and the deal I wanted came about on the only red around (drove 1 1/2 hours to get it that day).
I do know this...I know that if I had gotten white...I would wonder about having the red or maybe even black...and the same if I had gotten the black. To me most if not all look good. If I had the money...I would have one of each, but since I don't, I am glad I stuck to my first choice and got the red that I love.
Great thread....love every ones passion for their color.

Deep Cherry Red with the metal fleck. With that said, I have the Freedom edition with the mineral grey grill, bumper accents, and wheels, as well as all black accessories and the war torn stars. It's really sharp and gets a lot of attention, but that's really irrelavant. The important thing is I love it! I really like the mineral gray grill and other accents, and hope that someday in the distant future when I trade her in, I have that option again.

The True Blue looked amazing as well. Had they done a deep forest green crystal coat in 2012 it would have been a hard choice. I really like that one as well, though I would probably have still ended up with a deep cheery red. YMMV, get what you want, you're first choice is probably the right one.

I like the fact that gecko is kind of subdued, low key, and not too flashy. Makes it hard to find in a parking lot -- and people are always sticking their heads out of passing cars and trucks to yell, "Meh!" But I don't care -- so long as I don't stick out in the crowd.

Oh yea, and I am CRAZY about it!!!

Honestly, whether it's staging with other jeeps in the field, or in a distant parking space at the mall, or even just sitting in my garage -- almost without fail I will eyeball it and think, "Wow -- I own that beast!"

I honestly like ALL the colors, but I waited to buy my 2012 JK until the dealer had a white one ... I liked how it looked on the jeep.com website and I really like it. I notice a lot of people admiring it. My second choice would have been the deep cherry red, and I really like the 2013 dark blue.

My Arctic is white. I had been planning on ordering a '13, possibly in Billet, but got a deal I couldn't pass up on the '12.

That said, I've never owned a white vehicle, and it would probably be midway down the list of colors if I was ordering. But something about the whole package on the '12 Arctic in white spoke to me and I had to have it. I think my wife still thinks I'm nuts (she's not a fan of white at all), as my last two non-Jeep drivers were silver.....

Gecko rules!

I personally had a deposit on my gecko JKUR in October 2011! Finally got it around April 2012, and definitely worth the wait!
