I came real close to getting a Dozer Unlimited Rubicon but decided it was just too much of a good thing and I'd get tired of the color. I do think it's a great color, just like Crush, but it would take a lot of black to kind of "calm it down" a little bit.

While I like my Bright Silver Metallic, and have even grown to love it, it honestly wasn't even a consideration until "late in the game" before I ordered. It was the "safe" color to go with...

I drive Gecko. Crush was a close second in my color choice. However, with Halloween right around the corner, I just started thinking of all the missed decorating opportunities. With Crush, I could have turned this puppy into a huge jack-o-lantern.

i have the red (burgundy)... it was love at first sight... but i think if something happen... like any bad scratch... i will definitely wrap it...

i have a friend in the GTA (Greatest Toronto Area) who do this kind of job for a living... he used to do it with advertising vehicles... but he can wrap my Jeep all black carbon fiber for 1,000 bucks... all in... and if for any reason i scratch any side... he will re-do it for free...!!!

Gecko! It seems I can't go anywhere without people asking me about it. It's funny because we have the flame Red one and the Gecko that are for the most part exactly the same other than the color. People rarely say anything about the Red one when it is out and about which is much different from the Gecko.

We thought it might have something to do with my wife driving the Red one and maybe not seeming as approachable but when she drives the Gecko she has the same experience with people stopping her to chat about it.

We just returned from a 5 day trip together (In the Gecko) and on the way home today she said she didn't know how I put up with driving the Gecko around with all the attention all the time. That was right after we stopped at a Chick-f drive through. While we were waiting 5-6 ladies all gathered in the window and were chatting it up about my Jeep saying how much they liked it. Good times.

I really thought about Crush because I just love Halloween. I thought to myself, "Imagine the possibilities..." Unfortunately, I thought long and hard about it and couldn't see myself in an orange Jeep. I kept thinking, "The ball must not have ended until after midnight."

The more I see Crush, the more I do like it, but it's just an insanely "loud" color. I'm not sure I want that kind of attention. It would attract both, good AND bad attention.

I understand about drawing attention. I find myself being extra nice on the road. Pissing someone off in a Gecko Jeep is a bit different than in a non descript charcoal Maxima. I still want to see how much it would cost to have someone make up magnetic jack o lantern face pieces for me.

2012 JKU Sport S Black Forest Green Pearl It looks black most of the time. Most of my friends think its black. But under certain lighting conditions you see the green. And it's beautiful!

White is were it's at:

DETROIT — If you bought a new vehicle this year, chances are high it was white or silver. Twenty-two percent of cars and trucks built for the 2012 model year have white paint, making it the most popular color worldwide. Silver is close behind, at 20 percent, followed by black at 19 percent. Gray and red follow to round out the top five. White is the most popular color for the second year in a row after overtaking silver in 2011. The annual rankings are compiled by automotive paint supplier PPG Industries Inc., a Pittsburgh-based company that provides paints to automakers. White, which was also popular in the 1980s, is making a comeback as a modern, high-tech color thanks in part to Apple Inc.’s all-white stores and glossy white gadgets, said Jane Harrington, PPG’s manager of color styling for car companies. Manufacturers are also making more varieties of white, from the flat, bright white on many vans to the pearly cream of luxury SUVs.

I saw that article yesterday...and when I read it I wondered how service vehicles skew those numbers. There sure are a lot of fleet vehicles (police cruisers, etc) and white service vans and pickups coming out of Detroit.

Of course, I am also rocking a white JKR...so there is that.

When I was shopping for my JKU I had my heart set on silver or black. Then I drove by a dealer on the outskirts of town and they had a DCR and it really just struck me as a cool color for a Jeep.

To further skew things, fleet vehicles come off the assembly line white. A fleet manager would have to pay extra to have them painted...

Waiting on my black JKUR to be built. After some recent pics I came across I would probably go with billet if I had the chance to do it again. That being said, I'm still very pumped about black.
