i got my jeep in Dec. its a 2012 JK sport. i wanted Yellow but everyone talked me out of the color so it was down to White or Black. and i went with Black. because in the end i was the better price and the dealership could find one with the things I wanted on it like hard top only and side steps. it was tough finding it in NY for somereason.

i love the black only think i think it needs or might do is get black rims but for now its pretty sweet. i do wonder if white would have been better but oh well black is cool. my next jeep in 3 -5 years will be white or silver or yellow. so its cool to start out as my frist ever jeep in Black

White 2013 JKR.

It's my 4th jeep and 3rd wrangler. Last one was Steel Blue Pearl. Before that was Dark Blue Pearl...and before that was a red that looked like Flame Red.

I always thought that I might try White. It's easy to keep clean, hides scratches, easy to touch up, and cool in the summer....so when I found one on a lot with all of the options that I wanted (including 4.10 rear), I pulled the trigger. I have driven through a lot of bad weather since I've gotten it and up close you can see the dirt...but back up just a little and it looks 100% clean. :thumb:

IMHO, White, Flame Red, and Black are the classic colors. Those are the only three colors that Chrysler doesn't seem to play games with...or screw up. There are a couple of shades of green that I like, but Chrysler screws up green more often than not...and I am not a fan of the new Commando Green. Besides, I had a green M151 when I was in the army, so I don't need to play soldier anymore. ;)

Of the 2013 colors, I only considered White, Black and Deep Cherry Red. DCR is pretty damn good looking, especially with black trim...but I was up for a change....and red often doesn't age well.

I love navy blue, but it's another color Chrysler seems to screw up a lot. If I could choose any past color, it would be Deepwater Blue. That is a really sharp color...but then again, I like blue. The bright colors aren't really for me, but I will admit that when Crush and Dozer are built-up, they look very cool. Gecko? Not my thing...at all.

Plus 1. White....classic, cool in the summer, doesn't show the dirt and who cares if you see a lot of them. There's a reason. The most popular color for vehicles both in the US and worldwide. Something to think about if you plan on selling later on. I once read a test of two vehicles (same model, same upholstery) parked in the sun in the hot, hot summer, one white, one black. The temperature difference was something like 7 degrees cooler in the white. I like black but there's no question that it gets hotter inside. And the dirt really shows.

DCR for me.... it's great when clean bit it does not jode dirt well. an go Tango was great too... I might have gotten that over red but it isn't a 2012 color.

Crush has grown on me a lot since it first burned my retinas.

Gecko....and YES, I love the color. I was in WM parking lot the other day loading some groceries and a middle aged guy yelled across the parking lot, "GREAT color on a Jeep, GREAT color!"

Around here, EVERYBODY has a white one, a black one, or the odd ball red one thrown in. Black, white, and silver are just too....IDK....too much like some mid-sized rental car colors to me. They don't scream "Jeep Fun" to me.

I had a dark green TJ with a tan top and that is a very classic color combination that tends to come and go from time to time.

I LOVE the Gecko, but if I hadn't bought a 2013 Gecko, it would have been DCR....beautiful color....but maybe too "dignified" for a Jeep.:thumb:

I also have a Gecko and love it. On a tight small street the other day. The kind that you need to pull off a little to let someone pass, a guy stopped even with me and said, "hey, I have to know the name of that color". I said, "they call it gecko green". He goes, "awesome, just awesome".

I feel like a 12 year old driving around a matchbox car, it's so much fun (I'm 40, btw). My kids also love it...

I actually think the bright colors won't go out of style, on a Jeep. I agree they do on other cars. I see older Jeeps driving around with bright colors and still think they look cool.

My 1st Jeep and it is White and I think my Wife is going to want her own ;-)
We both love driving it more than any vehicle we have ever owned.
Been driving since 1970 and have had many pickups, vans and SUV's.

2 emerald greens, 1 white, 1 red rock, and currently a Dozer. I like the Dozer enough, but I wish they would come back out with a better green with khaki interior and khaki top again.

I wanted the dark emerald green but it was no longer offered in 2014 when I bought mine:rant: I don't think I have ever know any other vehicle manufacturer to change the entire color pallet so often :atomic: I saw a Billet Silver blacked and it grew on me so that's the direction I went and am blakking her out. I love it most of the time but there are times I wish that I had picked a more fun "jeep" color.
