Bought the light at a car show and then had to find a threaded tube the right length then mounted it to the spare tire mount. I wired it into the third brake light. Eventually I want to wire it into the running lights

Hey there, you want the chrome grills used? Six months old. No damage. Just need to put new 3m double sided tape. I decided to pull them off mine and install vertical black. $35. And there yours

The first week I had my JK, a piece of the foam tape came loose from the door surround and made my top leak and made it a lot louder from wind noise. I stopped by my local Leonard truck accessories store ( the Leonard tops/bed caps) and got a piece of foam tape and put it on my surround. Hopefully it will fix the leaking/wind noise.

Needs more chrome, less blue. Maybe some chrome armor.

Oh and have fun with those tires in Alaska

It is.
The good: 500 bones for a heavy ass bumper and tire carrier including shipping from amazon. Holds my 33s no problem. Has hilift jack mount built in. I feel more protected.
The bad: no side protection (i cut the bumper ends off of the stock rear bumper and they fit on no problem). The hitch pin is a pain in the arse (but also doubles as a theft deterrent lol). Drilling is required into the new bumper... They couldnt do this at Ranchos factory???)
The ugly: started rusting in a week... Rustoleum worked to fix that, but really???

Overall for any other bumper and tire carrier costs between $1000-$2000 bucks which I dont have. So it works and looks good.

You can really open up a lot of options if you get the Teraflex HD carrier. It probably works out to be the same money wise in the end but it allows you to just choose a bumper as opposed to a bumper/tire carrier combo. Bumpers can be had for $500 but the combo raises it to $1000-$1600. The Teraflex looks stock and is probably lighter than the combo. It's how God intended the back of the Jeep to be. Maybe Chrysler for future Jeeps would allow Teraflex to put them on as an OEM part.

Thats just it. I wanted both, but I wasnt about to spend 1k on the setup. I think it looks good, just had to make some mods to it

Ordered 8 of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003C0...r_h_automotive to wire up the aftermarket door locks and power windows. They work well. And only 2.50 each

As long as you're happy with it that's all that matters. I went the Teraflex route and was able to then choose any bumper I wanted independent of the tire carrier. Then again I scored on the HD carrier. I got mine for $250 being in the right place at the right time. Hopefully my bumpers arrive next week so I can stop blabbering on this thread and be useful for a change lmao.
