Overall for any other bumper and tire carrier costs between $1000-$2000 bucks which I dont have. So it works and looks good.
Thanks for the info, my jk came with the Bestop bumper on it without the tire carrier and now tht I have 35's I broke the stock carrier pretty quickly. I'm tired if lugging it around in the tub wen I go wheelin so I figure I can seek my current bumper and get a new tire carrier/ bumper combo. I would do the Teraflex like Dominus said but I can't justify the $900 for that when I could sell my current bumper, make $300, then buy the new one for $840. Thanks for the feedback though! I appreciate it.

Can I ask how you broke your OEM tire carrier? I know it had a 35" tire on it but how exactly did it happen? Thank you

The entire Teraflex setup is $730 which is the hinge and the adjustable tire carrier. Then the cost of whatever bumper you want to add for a clean looking setup. Some of the carriers can look "busy" behind the Jeep but the Teraflex unit is a beefed up stock version. You may not even need the adjustable part if the backspacing on your wheels are the same as the stock wheels or close to it and maybe modding the bumpstop thingy to press against the tire to eliminate any play. Like I said it may wind up being the same price in the end but if future bumpers come into play and you want to change, the bumper alone option vs bumper/tire carrier option is easier to justify.

My wife was about to leave home to come to work for some OT and when she got downstairs to the Jeep she saw this. This was a tire that I had plugged by a shop since early this year. I had this tire as the spare because I never trusted plugs. I usually do 5 tire rotations every 5000 miles but the last time was 10,000 miles ago and seeing the fronts looking a little worn I decided to put the plugged tire on the ground. Well this just made my decision easier in going with a lift vs wheels and tires. Budget boost with 35's here I come.

4.88 and lockers

Not much to show in a picture, but I have the jeep back from installing 4.88 gears and Detroit lockers. Half way through the break in period. Another 250 and drain and flush, and then we will see what she will do.

Yea I just had my 35" nitto trail grapplers with 17" pro comp alloys, which are kinda heavy, on my stock tire carrier. I went wheelin right after putting it on and I came back to this: Attachment 365625 I'm surprised, and thankful, that none of the spot welds broke on my tailgate.

Edit: This was for grsn67

Oh I was quoted $900 for the hinge and tire carrier. I agree with the busy look but I'll just have to see what a can get the best deal from. Thanks for the info!

Ouch!!!! Medic, medic, medic... this sucks major sack. Makes me want to upgrade to the adjustable even sooner. It's funny how some have 35's on oem parts for many wheeling sessions and others break after two bumps. Could be quality issues but who can really tell.

Found out that my tire was slashed which explains the flat. I need to move. They've messed with my Jeep enough around here. I don't want to go to jail defending my property.

I know you just got married, but get the f out of there. First the lights, not tires, you need to get out. I feel for you. This is stupid crap.

I installed grab handles, a new 13" antennae, a tow cover and Mcguard lug locks on the spare.

Custom floor mats on the way!

Any way of using some kind of security camera? On your house, carport, driveway, in your Jeep itself? The prices on these are getting cheaper by the day. Would be a nice feeling to use a bat on some pukes knees but I agree with you, not worth the repercussions.

Hahaha, I understand - just did mine a couple months ago - can say mine is 2/72 mine!

Gonna do the grill guard mod today - tired of seeing my radiator all banged up and that can't be good anyways! MAYBE paint the wheels....installed a stubby antenna already. Let the modding begin!
