You can go as fast as the Jeep will go in 4H for as long as you want to.

HOWEVER....as someone already mentioned....for the most part, it will not help you stop quicker And if you really think about it, you actually lose traction in a turn (being that one front wheel and one rear wheel are locked together, one wheel WILL break control traction when you turn).

So do not go faster than conditinons allow.

Over confidence is the reason why you see so many 4x4's laying in ditches on the side of the road during winter storms.

My Limited Slip does pretty well in 2WD also.

I got told by my girlfriend that I left some drops of fluid where I parked. I looked under the jeep and could only find the sector shaft leaking. Hopefully the extended warranty covers it as its to cold for me to do it

Correct me if I'm wrong but they aren't locked in 4h. The lockers on the Rubi only work in 4l. Unless I missed something here?

Wholeheartedly agree on the overconfidence thing though! I myself was guilty of it when I was in Denver in my first winter after the first big snow storm (I moved from Florida!) luckily I didn't hit anything or anyone!

You can go as fast as you like in 4H. The only limit is when shifting from 2H to 4H which is 50mph max. The problem with 4H is not straight line or long sweeping curves on highways but slow 90° corners like pulling out of a parking space on dry surfaces. You'll feel the steering wheel fighting you in protest because the front wheels do not have enough slip. In snow and dirt the wheels will slip and you won't feel that. Like others have said 4H won't make you stop any quicker and 50mph in the snow is borderline wreckless. You may not need 4H once you get rolling. I use it for getting in and out of parking spots and the occasional steep hill.

50 in snow MIGHT be unsafe, but so might 10 or 20 or 0mph. 70 or 80 might be just as safe as normal driving. Safe speed in ANY weather conditions is going to be determined by many variables, from tires and vehicle, road surface, depth of snow, driver experience and reaction time...and perhaps most of all, differential in speed between other vehicles.

Lockers lock the wheels across the same axle. Front locker lock the front wheels, same for the rear locker. 4wd locks the front and rear driveways together. The reason why I say one front and one rear is because of the differentials in each pumpkin.

Did synergy ball joints, removed rear tracbar, repainted armor and all damage flat black again, went and retorqued tons of bolts just to make sure nothings loose after all the work.
Guy before me had the somethkng done or serviced , noticed some leakage so unbolted lower bell housing cover and retorqjed all 10mm bolts above oil pan and pan bolts.they were a not loose so easy fix...washed and waxed it...

Kind of a slow day...lol

Finished up my floorjack skid and mount setup. Using the hi lift to break a bead and change a tire, yeah. But its sure nice being able to slide a Jack under the axle for a trail repair or spare install.
