I was shuttling high school friends of my sons home too. Most had abandoned their cars between the HS and our house and walked to our house. EDIT: btw, the Jeep with the stock Bridgestones had no issue at all with the roads, climbing hills, etc. It was awesome.
Good for you dude!! I'm sure many people were grateful for your help. Helping people in need when you have the equipment to make a difference, that's just cool man. Hopefully a good deed will be returned to you sometime in the future.

Your probably going to get a bunch of (Upgrade your Carrier) Comments, but ultimately, you have to decide how long you can deal with it.
Same here, bumpera aint cheap so itll be like this for a few months (probaly fathers day) and i was looking at it and the tire is resting right on my bumper so stress on the hinges/carrier shouldnt be that bad. Only time will tell.

Damn double post

It's definitely been a long wait for purchasing because I wasn't quite sure but I'm ready for it to get here!

I'm not at all mechanically inclined, so this was a big step for me... Took some vacation to remove all the interior on my JKU and installed Hushmat and an Aeries trunk enclosure. Pretty happy w the results. Also Plastic Dipped my grill.

Good stuff Mike. I have been thinking about tearing down RockTrooper and lining it with Lizardskin or similar. You'll have to report later on how the hushmat actually worked out. I also have the Aries security lid. It is a great add for storage both under and over while on the trail.

Do u have any lighting set up for the "trunk"? I'm thinking about installing a LED light strip, but have no idea how to power it or attach it to a switch inside the trunk area.

Just get one of those stick up LED lights, something like this : http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-36051...able+led+light

And put it on the lid closest to the tailgate on the underside. Should be all you need. If you really wanted to go with something that would provide more coverage like a rope light, just plug it into the rear accessory plug by the speaker.

Bought and cut a piece of board to cover the space between the back area and the seats when their folded. Stole this from someone on here. Can't remember who but thought it was a great idea for my dogs. Also sprayed it with some adhesive and threw on some old felt sitting around.
