Pulled over to the side of the road. Shoulder (or lack of one) hidden by snow. Slipped into the ditch. Driver's side on the road edge, passenger side buried in 3 1/2 feet of ice pack and snow. Jeep at 33 degree angle.

Put it into 4WD, locked the axles, and rocked my way out by driving in a straight line till I hit a cross road. She wasn't climbing out, so I just brute forced her forward.

I had that idea when I bought the flashcal! I'm definitely doing it as a Flashpaq is way more expensive than $179 for an update.

I programmed them myself. it takes about a minute apiece. You need two working keys tho. first key in and turn to on/run (not start) for about 5 seconds, turn to off/lock remove put second good key in same routine for about 15 seconds and then put the new key in same routine and leave it for about 40 seconds and it is programed. When they are not programmed they will only start your jeep for about 3 seconds then shut off. Also when not programmed on my 2014 anyway the horn started honking when I used it to unlock the door. I had to quick hit the remote open button to stop the horn honking. Now I don't have to worry if I am in the middle of no where and lose a key. I have one well hidden but easily accessible.

Going through this thread I've seen a few people got the Cree LEDs ... I know they are a lot cheaper but do they last and put out the same light as the KC and rigid light bars ... Is it really worth spending the extra few hundred bucks on a name brand?

Added driver and passenger side led floor lighting. Spliced into the interior dome lights so they function when the doors are opened and dim out as the dome lights do. Also got bored and plastidipped the keyholes.

I was wanting the tailgate one already to mount my ax and shovel.
This would be an awesome place for a CB, holster for the 1911 and
maybe a storage bag or two.

I believe it's $180 to upgrade. It ma be a better deal to sell the flashcal for ~$100 and buy a new flashpaq. I got my flashpaq for $250 from northridge4x4 with the discount code shark tank. The price may have gone up since then though because I think it was on sale then.
