To start the rope through the little hole, I used a heat gun on LOW heat. Hair dryer would probably work too but don't get it too hot..just enough to get it to flex and slide.

Finished the JCR Offroad Vanguard bumper install, winch install, rebadged in all black and Trek Armor seat covers. I cannot for the life of me get the damn synthetic rope through the little hole (broke four different zip ties).

Also, still trying to figure out the removal of the rear headrests to install the top sections of the seat covers.

Installed my Barricade bumper, Quadratec Q11000s winch wired to my sPod using the Warn Power Interrupt kit and installed my rear Bilstein 5100 shocks. Synergy Grabbars will be delivered tomorrow and I have the Front shocks scheduled for Tuesday delivery as well as a Barricade Skid plate also scheduled for Tuesday!

I really like it, other than the chips in the coating from shipping. It seems pretty stout, was an easy install. I have the skid plate coming to me this week, I think it will look better with not being able to see the crossmember underneath. I will be sure to post some pics when I get the skid plate installed.

Why again doesn't it have the fogs in it? Didn't you buy it new? Or did you buy it off someone's Rubicon X?

Ya I saw it on jk-forum

2 59" 2x4
2 30" 2x4
1 59" 1x2. (I used a 1x4 cause it was a scrap)
4-6 6" 2x4s
A bunch of 3" screws
4 casters--held on by 1" screws---I chose to go all swivel with 2 having locking capabilities.

I'm a big boy, 260 lbs, and I stood on it while my fiancée pushed me around the carpeted apartment. I need to add padding and felt and get my soft top on

You bought my bumper before I got to it and now you are my arch-enemy. If we meet on the trail, then it's beer at 20 paces to clear the matter up... Winner takes bumper.

Cool

Added a Rugged Ridge Steel Mesh Grill Insert to my 2014 Polar.

It's a really snug fit, worked out nice.

Installed the lift this weekend. I have lifted several vehicles over the years and have to say this was by far one of the easiest. The ride and handling have greatly improved. The area I live in has a lot of curvy roads and the factory suspension had in my opinion, a lot of body roll.

Hopefully my tires and wheels will be here this week.

Washed it after 3 months, applied some trim restorer to the fenders and paint the exhaust black. Also got everything ready to install my Bestop Door Surrounds and Safari top next weekend.

Got it off CL used and it didn't come with the fogs. Unfortunately the stock jk fogs don't fit...at least without a bracket. Actually looks like the stock ones are a little bigger than the openings. I'll likely order some aftermarket fogs for it. Otherwise I dig it!

Its a Teraflex 2.5 with Teraflex shocks.. It was easy to install and the ride and handling really improved.

I am getting these wheels.

With 35 inch Nitto Terra Grappler MT's. Hopefully they will be here this week.

Cost was near 3k but also because I had some additional body work to be done. It's something I toyed with for awhile myself but finally went all in after doing enough research and throwing caution to the wind.

Other than for its wow factor, I took into consideration where I live. I live in the desert of So Cal; complete with dirt roads and Joshua trees. I noticed I was becoming to anal about getting it scratched whether it was my normal driving or when taking it on trails or to the dunes.

Changed both differentials to Mobile 1 synthetic, engine oil to Castrol synthetic, and did a 5 tire rotation. 7,500 miles on vehicle, good to go until 15,000. Moab next weekend!!!

I tested Plasti Dip Glossifier on a test area of the Jeep last night. After 4 coats sprayed directly on the paint I was pleased that it peeled right off and didn't need the base Plasti Dip coat.

With the test complete I'm going to spray my painted fenders this week in hopes of achieving a clear bra look. Based on my test it's going to take at least 6 coats to achieve the right thickness. Glossifier is much thinner than standard Dip.
