Not exactly my normal type of woodworking, but I made a dolly for the hard top today. The neighbour was throwing out some carpet, I had the wheels in my shop already from years ago and I had all the screws. Had to buy a piece of pipe and some 2X4. Total cost to me? $17.42
Now I have to wait until Friday to get the hardtop off.

Oh, it's just removing the spring from the unlimited headrests so you can fold them down when not in use. Just opens up your rear view.

Looks good and easy enough to make, do you have plans with measurements?

tires & rims last week.

this weekend i installed

Daystar bump stop on the tailgate for the spare. (LINK)

LED fog lamps (LINK)
simple lamp replacement much brighter than stock.

HIDs (LINK)
I expected these to be much easier than they were. it's very tight behind the headlights & the HID kit wires are ridiculously short. still, it wasn't bad. I got the error correct kits but didn't install them. when they were plugged in the lamps were going crazy. if I run into flicker issues, I'll try putting them in.

KCs at the widshield (LINK) using these smittybilt brackets (LINK)
brackets fit perfectly, install of both was pretty painless. mounted the switch in the a pillar.

zip tied an ipad mount to the rollbar over the baby seat

I have a weekly youtube woodworking show and I have filmed a tutorial video with measurements for this particular dolly. Once I get the film footage edited, I will be posting the video. Videos get posted on Friday night / Saturday morning. I will be sure to post a link to the video if you are interested.

spent all weekend trying to loosen the bolts for the backseat so I can put spacers under them and give the seat a little recline. BUT...I can't budge the last three...AND pulled my back trying. Sorry, no pics of me swearing, walking away, and breaking out the Flexeril...

Installed a Bestop Trektop on the wife's grocery getter. Summer is about here and wasn't going thru the hassle of taking off and putting on her hard top every couple of days. Then, after a few beers I took my reciprocating saw to the front bumper and lopped off those long end wings, and replaced them with some vinyl/plastic endcaps. Got rid of that lame wind deflector thingy too before it got torn off on a trail.

Mine is already in summer mode ...

Changed the seat back angle on the rear seats. I used 1/4" X 1" flat bar.

Blacked her out, been wanting to do it since I got it. Plasti dip wheels, blacked out badges and replaced stickers. I love it.

What I did to her:

Oil change. Decided to go a little heavier 10w30. It's an experiment. We'll see how it turns out.
Put my rear track bar bracket back in. I took it out because I'm running the teraflex monster adjustable rear track bar. Put it back in to raise the roll center of the rear to match the front, now that I have synergy flip kit installed.

What I ordered for her. (In preparation for lighting, air compressor and lockers)

SPOD.
OTRATTW switches
Aero force gauge.

What I still have:

A pile of parts sitting in my garage. Been working 15 hour days. No time to play.

Got all my parts in to install my Rigid Duallys on the Apods, just need to wait for it to actually warm up as I don't have a garage. Have the console part out and got a switch already in the Daystar panel that arrived with the order. Hope to get it installed 100% before the long weekend!

Got my XRC MOD bumper apart and put the Bull Bar that finally came in for it and got it all back together with the help of a few friends.

Finally adjusted my headlights as I have a 4" Lift with 35" Tires and when it was upgraded they lights were never adjusted afterwards from the factory. I couldn't see the road in front of me at night =(

Downgraded my 430N to the 33 Firmware, trying to get the 2014.40 Map update on this week as well when it gets warmer.

Baby Steps...
