Every other section has this stickied so I thought I would start one. Forgive me if its in there already but I could not find it.
Anyway here's what I did.
After removing the different cover for a routine fluid change I decided to paint the cover, it needed a little touching up so I thought I would go ahead and paint it red. I already had some farm equipment paint on hand, I'm pretty sure it will hold up to any temps that might be reached.

I live in eastern PA and we just had that crapy ice storm. While driving home that night I could not see well enough. A bunch of trees were down and all kinds of brush and ice. So I just placed an order for trucklites. I was thinking about it anyway and that sealed the deal.

No hate just curious. I'm currently bumper shopping
I agonized over it for a while. I wanted a stinger, buy everyone looks at them like I'm crazy. I decided on this. http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=190688256059
I figured it was more practical if I hit something and I'd fit in the garage too. Plus it looked sturdier than their stingers.
There are nicer bumpers ($) out there, but I wanted a winch too so I figured I wouldn't spend all of my bonus. I have to take the wife on a cruise.

I did my bumper too.. It took a while for me to decide but I ended up going with the smittybilt MOD bumper and bout the stinger bar... I liked this one bc it groves options of extensions with foglights or leaving it as a stubby... The location for the winch is also lowered so that it's not covering the half of the grill.

I just put http://www.automatic.com/ into my Jeep. Just a little tool that monitors your driving and makes you aware when your driving inefficient. Links up to your cell phone and rates your performance. It also will contact first responders if there is a collision. Also reads your computer codes and lets you know what's they mean/say. So far it will not stop telling me I suck.
isn't that just the Eco
Edit- actually nevermind

I'm adding that to my tax return shopping list. That's nifty as heck. I'll be installing my vector e-dock this weekend if UPS doesn't screw me, and that "automatic" (dumb name!) would let me turn my phone into awesome little dashboard monitor.

That's something I would have loved to have had today. I took my Jeep for its first serious drive (under my watch) today, as I drove from Seattle to Maple Falls to check out some property and back again, a trip just over 200 miles. I'm still in my first week of owning a JK, and my old TJ didn't have the little mileage meter so that's a whole new thing to me and it's been a trip.

When I bought the car and drove home with it, the mileage meter was reading 16.8. After four days of city driving, I woke up this morning with it sitting at 14.3. When I got back from Maple Falls, having put some 180 highway miles on it, it was reading 19.8.

That's just fascinating to me, and I'd love to see what else is going on as I drive.

Will zombies get caught in that stinger bar or will it push them out of the way? Just wondering. :)
