Swaping speakers is easy. Few things are plug and play but my speakers actually were - (CHY# 77KICK10) This is my brother's stereo so he used Pioneer's so lots of soldering was done. Wiring the Alpine amp and PAC took 2 brains, stuff got pretty confusing so it was good having my brother help me. I will get you a link to the correct steering wheel adapter soon if you want it.

Doing a write up would talk too long and would be mind numbing, plus I don't have the time.

There are a few write ups on here as to how to get to the dash speakers. You basically just have to remove the side panes by pulling them out, then there are 2 brass 9/32 screws staring at you in the face, then underneath the speaker box there is a single black 1/2" screw you have to access from the bottom. I think it is 1/2" anyway. Unplug the harness and take out the speaker box. Sound bar speakers are simple to remove, just take out the torx screws.

Taking the dash apart is simple! Follow this video: 2011 / 2012 Jeep Wrangler Dash & Radio Removal - YouTube

The entire dash is made up of 9/32" screws.

Check out my Flickr page for a overview of how I did my system:

(I think?)

I got mine extra dusty. LOL. Daughter and I went looking for an RC Field and ended up driving this gravel road to it's very end.

(Remote control airplanes is one of my hobbies).

Kept hoping to find SOMEPLACE cool to drive it. Mud, puddle, slight incline ... ANYTHING! No luck...flat gravel road ...

So, what happens if you need the spare? Can you just mount that on any wheel?

But it blocks your good looking spare. Never understood why people do that.

I like the license plate delete mod.

I'll be doing that when I install my Teraflex HD hinge and carrier on Thursday.

Can you give me a link to the delete panel?

LOL, that is the release handle from the tire carrier. But it does look like a little hat. I wish i had a Gnome, it would have made it alot easier getting into those little tight areas.

It has 1 thumb nut that you use to remove it. The bracket mounts to your tire carrier, not the tire. Jeep is at the shop getting rock rails installed, then i pick up i will see if i can get some better pics for you.

I received great news, I hope. I installed the JW Speaker 8700 Evolution headlights but immediately had a pretty serious flickering issue. I called JW Speaker and they've updated the lights with a new harness for Wranglers to eliminate the flickering problem. They tell me that any lights with a post-August 17, 2012 manufacture date will have the new harness. So........shouldn't the shop that I bought my lights from know this? Anyway, I'm swapping the lights out tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.

Completed Pure Jeep Rock Slider install. Part body armor, part boat slider, part step all in one. I'll add a write up and better pics later. Install not difficult but time consuming- and not for the faint of heart. Don't see them often here so I want to post some tips.

Nice! The 501 looks really cool with the new interior design, it looks right at home between the two vents. Post some pics.

Maybe I'll go with the JL amp and we can compare notes. Will see how the install goes. What are you or your brother in law doing for subs?

You're a bigger man than I. I'd be torn between being embarrassed that my mother-in-law had a bigger jeep than I do and pride over her. Either way I don't think I'd admit she had a bigger jeep.

Seriously though, free tires are awesome. Congrats.
