Just figured out how to turn the hill assist off last week and hit 3000 mile mark today. Gas mileage is increasing.

I'm back and forth on doing it, seem to be mixed reviews. Ebay has them at some good price compared to Crutchfield.

The biggest difference in replacing the soundbar speakers is that you are actually adding tweeters to the rear fill. Outside of that, it is a limited improvement.

Go out to you Jeep, unhook the sub, then listen to a song while fading from front to rear. Without the sub, what you will notice is that the volume on the rear speakers is quite a bit lower than the front speakers, and that the rear speakers are clearly crossed over at lower frequencies.

Everyone runs into the same roadblocks. To get the most out of new speakers, you are going to have to gut the entire system.

I replaced all 4 speakers with Kickers, they are starting to break-in. My system sounds fine (better being that I know have 6 tweeters instead of 2), but I know that it could sound a lot better if I had access to the gains and crossovers on the amp.

Just my 2 cents, I'm not exactly a fan of people putting these UFOs on their jeep or changing the hoodlatches. I'm all up for mods, but little things like that make a jeep... Well a jeep. Not bashing anyone's great work here, I just think some things should be left alone. I'm a pretty traditional kind of guy I guess

You're not alone! But, that's what makes our jeeps great... each one is our own private canvas!

Dude, you know everyone can read everyone else's old posts right?

------------------------

Something that I have noticed on Jeep forums is this tendency for people to set their own level of "what a Jeep is"....and anything they deem below that arbitrary level is somehow "less of a Jeep".

Round headlights, 7 slot grill, 4wd with transfer case, solid front and rear axles, windshield that folds down, top and doors that come off, off road capable....and most importantly....you vehicle title that states "Jeep Wrangler on it"....that is what makes it a Jeep.

Maybe if people are doing egregious things to Wranglers to make them less off-road capable like lowering them and putting on 20" rims with 50 series tires...then you might have a point....and I would still say..."to each their own".

But hood latches and UFO's somehow makes a Wrangler less of a Wrangler? Really?

Nice!

I was getting ready to ask you how you powered the lights...but that just reminded me...I have a 115V outlet. I might do the same this year.

And I never said you couldn't get a man. I was just messin' with ya. A woman who knows how to use tools and is willing to get dirty, that's a winner for me. Clarksville eh? You stationed at Ft. Campbell?

Oil change at 20K, 5 tire rotation, vacuumed the interior and cleaned the grime off of the windshield.

I adjusted the clutch on my Harley... I know wrong forum... but the bike has been feeling left out since I got the Jeep.

I'll be mounting a Maglite on the drivers seat of the Jeep this weekend though.
