Took hard tops off for the first time Sunday. Left them off until today when heard we are going into high 40's tomorrow night in Miami! Loved having them off. It's been real nice here.

Added a sticker, and the box in the back...oh I can't wait for 75 degree weather and sun. Girlfriend gave my my Christmas present early, and the boxed up Trektop NX is just begging to get installed!

Nice! You know its even cooler if you don't put the fenders on lol. we had one for a few days and realized the seats aren't adjustable and had to take it back:-( maybe next year.

Quite frankly, this was a bit of a surprise gift from a my dad (he knew I was trying to get this bumper) so I don't know the exact date when he ordered it but the website says it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks. However, I only set my eyes on this bumper for almost a month now, so this bumper, with the bullbat and powdercoat, shipped VERY quickly, and it's free shipping from them for the month of December

TF Performance leveling kit, Rubi takeoff shocks & rails were installed today, and I left with a quote for the PSC Brawler lite front (with bar & shackles) and rear (with back up LEDs) bumpers with powdercoat. Why can't I ever give the bank account a break?

We got lucky. A guy at his work realized his kid had outgrown it. So we picked it up for $100. Downside is now when we go somewhere they think they should get to take theirs. Lol.

I find it hilarious our kids are 5 and have already dictated to us what color jeeps they want when they "get big".

I stopped at the store today to grab a couple last minute Christmas items. Namely hat and gloves for kids since we're taking the Jeeps to the mountains this weekend to enjoy wintery pine trees and build a snowman.
On my way out of the parking lot I had to stop at a crosswalk like usual. Dude was walking across and he was staring at me. He then turned to his friend and said loud enough for me to hear with my windows up, "Now that's a bad a$$ JK." (They had just gotten out of a rather nice looking TJ that scarcely looked street legal.)

I had a long day at work, and have been a bit stressed all week, but suddenly I felt better after that. lol

After two days of my Freedom Edition ownership, I went to America's Tire and traded in my 255/75/17 Goodyear Wranglers for five new 265/70/17 BFG TA KO's. What a difference. Even with a much more aggressive tread pattern the vehicle actually rides much better, absorbs bumps and ruts better, and handles waaay better. I've had two set of these TA's previously on my '05 F250 4x4 Powerstroke and loved them.

Looks good. how was the install? Have help? I was looking at the picture again. Are there hi-lift jack points cut out of the bumper already? I like that.

I got to drive it again. We took a trip as our xmas gifts this year. Took a cruise to Progreso & Cozumel Mexico. Did the mayan ruins in Progreso and snorkel trip in Cozumel. The entire time in Cozumel there were JK's all over the place. Got home last night and went to bed. Got up this morning and just took a drive.

The bumper could be put in by yourself, I actually did 90 percent if it myself but it always helps to have a second person around. My trick was to use a screw driver to line up the mounting brackets to the bumper holes. However the instructions are USELESS so it took some calling up and googling and trial and error to put it on. A little drilling into the bumper base is required but it's not too bad and other than that a fairly easy install. Also it does not come with a harness extension for the foglights so you need to buy one of those too

Took the JK Brawler + Skid to powder coating. Is it alright that I'm getting the Brawler bumper & skid powdercoated as one piece (already bolted together), rather than separately?

Or is it better to have them separated, powder coated as two separate pieces, and then bolt them together again?
