Changed oil and installed K&N drop in air filter. I have always used K&N air filters in all my cars, but could barely notice a difference. Well I can tell a difference with the Jeep. Feels like it's balls finally dropped. Happy Jeeper today.

I love that colour. A very nice choice, indeed. Those silver plastic bits on the bumper are super easy to remove, and make a world of difference visually.

That bumper looks great. How much would you say it weighed?

Just the point off the pinch seem and then maybe 1in off the rail.

Pretty sure the fenders will get ripped off tho

I ran 35/12.50/15 MTRs on my 08 Rubi for 45,000 miles with no trimming at all, I put Xenon flat fenders on it at about 18,000. Didn't trim pinch or factory rock rails until the 37"s

Thx Stan. Came out great. Between the Westward, the MC template, and your advice, it was relatively a piece of cake. I'll swing by this week.

Thanks. I'd say about 70lbs. Not too heavy, easy to install alone. No noticeable drop in the front end either, I have a stock suspension for now and was worried about that.

Different schools of thought on this but I did my first at 1000, 2nd at 2000 and 3rd at 5000 at which point I switched to synthetic and now its every 5000. She has to last me a very long time.

That's just a waste of money with engines these days. They don't need that kind of care anymore. It used to be 3000 miles if you go over you got problems, now in silverado manuals it says every 8-10k miles! That's crazy and I would never wait that long but still doing it like that is just a waste of money and resources. Change it at 3 to be safe I think the manual says 5k but whatevs just pop some synthetic at 3k and and you will be set for 5000 mile intervals till the car explodes

Looked at it and decided that it needs a cleaning from road salt - but it's way too cold to spray it off. lol

Went with Castrol Syntec 5w20, and planned on every 5K.

Congrats!! Protip: Seat covers or a seat protector under the seat! My little one can spill air and stain the seats!

Could be. I'm no grease monkey but I like to air on the side of caution. Some may say that's overkill but hey different strokes for different folks. I came from a 2008 M3 and the first oil change was reccomended at 1200 miles. Much higher performing engine than the Pentastar but this Jeep I plan on having until the tub rusts out and the wheels don't turn anymore lol.

Have 6500 miles on my factory oil. Recommends 8000 miles for first oil change with checking level and adding if needed. Runs great and warranty will replace if she doesn't. Never understood why folks go against manufacturer specs.

Curious why you didn't just keep the stock retainer clip (underneath) and put the hex bolt top down through the snap lock knobs (so hex is in the snap lock)?
