Picked up the new wheels at Desert Rat for the Mickey T's I picked up yesterday. While I was in there decided to go ahead and grab a new hi-lift and 4xrac. Then I got home and realized I don't know where I'm gonna mount it with these stock plastic bumpers on the rubi.

Normally I'd say this was a good excuse for new bumpers, but considering I also ordered new shocks when I got home for the lift kit I ordered last Monday, and add the Soft Top I bought a few hours before that..... Yea, I got a little carried away recently.

So now that my pocket book is nice and thin I'm gonna have to sit and wait on the lift to get here, put it all in and see what new unpredicted expense I have before getting something else off the wishlist.

I bought Weathertech floor liners and I'm still about 7 weeks out from taking delivery of my gecko 4dr Rubi that I ordered about a week and half ago.

If your Hi-Lift is a 48", you can store it under the rear passenger seats till you get a bumper or figure out where to mount it otherwise. Slides right in behind the seat uprights (gotta jiggle it a little to clear the seat rails).

See post #10 in this thread: How to use a High Lift Jack on stock JK?

Wolf thanks for the info there. I'll have to see if I can get it in there and the seat still stay down. There are 2 pink car seats strapped into that bench seat atm, and they're gonna be there for awhile. lol

Might not be an issue too long. Bumpers are on the priority list rather high. I have a rather bad track record with stock bumpers on my Jeeps. Had this JK for a year now and it's the longest I've made it without smashing it into a tree or a rock. But then I haven't actually played with it yet due to deployments last year so not sure if that counts. >.<

Nope, won't work for you...that's the one thing that prevents it from being a permanent solution, IMO. You can't fold the seats all the way down. They'll fold just to the back of the front seats, but won't lay flat with the Hi-Lift underneath...at least on my '12. And I doubt Chrysler changed much in the mechanics of the rear seats between the '11 and '12.

Oh well. Munchkins come before Hi-Lift storage.

Sweet!!! Where did you ge those knobs. I have been wanting to do something similar as some A$$hole around work keeps stealing stuff off of my jeep and don't want my hi-lift left out on the bumper.

Pretty sure this is the place, fixtureworks.net, I did look at all my local hardware stores and nobody carried the right size, I think they are M10 but PLEASE double check that. I also had to wrap the outer bolt end on the left side clamp because my soft top would hit it when I put the top down.

And I did the poly fill to my speakers.
