Every other section has this stickied so I thought I would start one. Forgive me if its in there already but I could not find it.
Anyway here's what I did.
After removing the different cover for a routine fluid change I decided to paint the cover, it needed a little touching up so I thought I would go ahead and paint it red. I already had some farm equipment paint on hand, I'm pretty sure it will hold up to any temps that might be reached.

i got a set of rubicon springs and shocks for cristina's jeep and i finally started installing them. these coil spring suspension systems are so easy to swap parts on, i love htem. anyways, i only got the front done because i started at 1830 and the temp dropped to the 50s this evening. plus, i have no air tools so i do everything the hard way.

on to the pics of the progress so far.

this jeep had stock 12 springs. i installed stock rubicon 18 springs, second highest spring pn you can find so its the second stiffest spring available.

see the size differences? obviously, the smaller spring is the 12. the shocks are different also with the red rubicon shocks being a lit thicker and a half inch or so longer.

here it was when we parked next to a sahara with 17 or 18 springs on it, i don;t remember which number though

remember, this was how we got it

us next to a rubicon model

don't forget, the back is still on the softer base model springs.

Why spell out the "F" word?
Grow thicker skin or leave. Theres, always a curse word thrown in here or there. If a moderator has a problem with him, they'll correct his behavior. Til then, as I've learned, it's not your place to police the Internet.

n3tfury, I agree. I replaced my stock horn with the PIAA dual tone. Still wimpy but not as much

I was looking at that one and you're saying it's still wimpy? Damn. I'll have to google for a video and see how wimpy. Thanks for being honest :)

Rugged Ridge slush mats went in (stupid retaining pin, I just know that's going to be the spot where salty slush soaks through to my premium pristine black carpet...)

Antenna X stubbby 13" antenna on - I never listen to radio anyway, but the steel whip banging against the A pillar when collecting pinstripes was annoying me.

Trying to put Poison Spyder JK Evap skid on, but I'm clearly too stupid to figure out how to disconnect an electrical plug...

How'd this go? How much of a lift did it yield you? did you replace any other parts? how is the drive at highway speeds?
Went very well. Took about an hour and a half. I got 1.75" in the front and 1.50 in the rear (had 14/55's in it). Completely level now. Didn't have to replace anything else, just loosened the track bar and reinstalled it after it was back on the tires. Didn't notice any difference on the highway, 70 mph with no shimmy or shake. I commute an hour a day to work and wanted to stick with stock parts. Will post before and after pics Ina min. Downloading app now.
