Do you know what the wattage is for those lights? I have a pair of 55W rear aux lights I bought from LoD with my rear bumper and have wondered whether it's too much wattage to wire directly to the reverse light circuit.

Yes 55w is too much the wire is only 20gauge anything over 10w is pushing it.

Wiring them to your reverse lights would be very easy since those wires are so close. Just tap into the wire behind your taillights. But I'm not sure the wiring procedure to add a relay and a switch so that you can do both a switch and connect them to the reverse lights. Darkfire has his wired like this. You may want to consult him on the procedure.

That's what I did with my rigid industries 65 degree lights. Taped into rear back up wire at tail light, then ran a wire from my s-pod and taped into the backup wire under the driver seat

I'll be doing this mod for "Sincityjets" next week on his new JKU

Today the temperature on the display read 34F. So what do I do? I take off the freedom panels, blast the volcano-like heater and take a wonderful drive with the sun shining in. Absolutely awesome!!! Being my first Jeep that I picked up last Thursday I am officially addicted. I love it!! Come on spring.

I always chuckle at the way people express the heat in the JK.

My buddy was in my Jeep a couple days ago and I had the heat going since the top was down and it was in the 60s (don't laugh snowbirds ). He remarked how well the heat worked. I told him to keep his finger on the vent as long as he could and I cranked the knob all the way up. He made it about 5 seconds in and couldn't take it any longer. Whoever they tapped to design the heating system in the JK must be a descendant of Helios.

Put on the hood decals I got from pixeldecals. I think they turned out pretty good, if I do say so!

Big fan of the "Don't Tread On Me" decal. I may need to replace my side decals with two of those...

Nice. My nephew touched the vents on a road trip and I almost wrecked from laughing.

I turned my soft top into a safari top........sorta. I made some tie down straps out of 550 cord with a loop on both ends. Cinched one end around the rear bow and put a S clip on the other. Folded the sail pannels up between the top and roll bar then cliped the S clip to a hole in the "bed rail" (I'm guessing it's for a locator knob on the hard tops?). I never really planned it out, just got bored and wanted to see if it would work. Didnt cost me anything but time so why not?

I'll put up some day time shots if all goes well on my 45 min 70mph test drive to work tomorrow.

Basicaly removed the windows and folded up the corner pieces (sail pannels) out of the way. But something has to hold tention on the rear bow, so the straps I made just pull down on the rear bow by attatching to the tub. But yea, I'll get some pics if it all holds up.

Just found this on Quadratec. I basicaly did the same thing for free. And instead of wraping the sail pannels I tucked them between the top and roll bar (hidden and out of the way)

Windshield mounts regardless of company will cost about 30 dollars. As far as lights go, it depends on what you want. 100 watt KC Daylighters run for close to 120 a pair, but im sure you can find 55 watt foglights for around 50 a pair. Do your research

I have been reading up on them for the past few days, I have seen rugged ridge full light kits with mounts for $130. I would rather go with KC though. I was hoping someone on here may have stumbled upon one of those never seen before type deals. lol

On amazon right now they got a great deal on Hellas that are just under 7" and come with full wiring harness and switch. Gonna be pickin up a pair on Thursday i have the windshield mounts got them off a guy on here for $15 but they are usually 25-30. I think an eBay seller I used before has them for like 25$ and he makes good stuff just search it there.

Started hearing a weird sounds from driver front side wheel...took a look. Based on the uneven tread wear of the tire, I'd say my front end needs an alignment. Which I thought I got last time I rotated the tires. Apparently not. Now the tire is ruined. Guess I'll just throw that one on the spare and only do 4 wheel rotations now until I get new tires. Unless someone has another suggestion? Crap.

On the bright side, my JCR Dagger is on a truck in Charlotte and is scheduled for delivery by EOD.

Well there isnt much of an alignment you can do on a straight axle

Then is the balance off? The tread down the center of the tire looks like shark fins...something in the suspension maybe?
