The trails weave all through the woods, up and down hills, some areas really muddy, some a little dryer. I got all the way back to where one portion of the trail connects to another and I came across a HUGE puddle... I've heard horror stories of hydrolock and I wouldn't even know what to do if that happened to me, plus I had my little sister with me. Wasn't sure how deep the puddle was so I decided not to risk it... Did a 16 point turn and went back the other way... All in all, a ton of fun, and as soon as my lift is installed (coming in the mail today! yes!) I'm going back to conquer the puddle!

Here is the end result...
Soundalike fun! Next time your at a unknown water whole take a long stick to check how deep it is to see of it's safe to cross

Toothpick and tweezer, I sprayed about 5 coats to make it thick enough to cut. Really easy to apply, a little harder to keep clean.

So I was reunited with one of my stolen taillights. There is a nosey body in the building that approached my fiancé and gave her the light. He said it was under his car. This light was stolen the Monday morning after Superbowl. This same guy saw me when I had the stock lights in my hands as I was going to reinstall them. He asked me the most obvious question, "what happened to your Jeep?" I looked at him like you're an idiot. He told my fiancé that he suspects the house on the corner where I parked that has some young guys usually working on Civics and hydraulic cars. They don't have Jeeps and had no use for the light so they dumped it.

I don't know what to make of it at this point but I do feel like putting 7 rounds in my 10 round magazine as per Governor Cuomo and heading over to that house. Of course this solves nothing and will only make them mess with my stuff even more and/or land me in jail over some $300 lights. They do look like degenerates though and from day one my fiancé and I suspected them as well. But with no proof I just wrote the lights off as a loss. Here is a pic of the light. The edges look like they wanted to pry off the lens to get at the internals. Good quality stuff.

Did the rear headrest spring mod and finished up installation of my low-profile Rhino-rack setup on the roof. Thule and Yakima racks wouldn't fit in my garage, but the Rhino clears by an inch. Reinforced with 3/16"x2" aluminum bars underneath. Planning to haul my Thule cargo box up there, among other things. Will try to post up a detailed write-up in the next few days if there's interest.

Don't mind at all. It is 2 doors per set of 2 hooks. All supplies from Home Depot for less than $30. Not my idea though - full write up is here (on another forum):

I'm interested. Would love to see some more pics as well. Considering a roof rack, but also want something low profile and not a full cage style rack. Have 8.5" to spare right now, but will eventually move to a minor lift and 35s. That cuts my 8" to about 3". I'm not parking outside, and I'm not moving so...

O-fficially ordered my 35's & wheels ... install won't be until 02 March (wheels need to be ordered, and I'll be out of town some). PureJeep C gussets and new TF tire mount install the day after.

Not sure 3" is doable. After quite a bit of research this was as low as I was able to figure out...4" above the roof at the center measuring from the main surface of the hard top--not the raised ridges. Might save a 1/4" or so with the aero- type rhino bars, which were too wide for my Thule cargo box brackets. I'll try to get a write-up posted in the next few days. Here are a few more pictures and you can PM me with specific questions in the meantime and I'll try to answer. Probably best to not further clog this thread with the details. It'll get lost in the flood of posts anyway.

It's official, I've joined the mod crowd... My 10A JKU isn't even in production yet, and I ordered a set of Hothead Headliners. This could be the first step down a very slippery slope! But oh what a fun ride this will be!

I have a silver 2010 jeep jk saharah unlimited. I am new to the jeep mods and was wondering what would look good on my jeep? I like to add stuff for mainly appearance. I do minor off roading, but nothing extreme.
I have nitto terra graplers with rockstar xd rims and KC off road lights.

Vector UFO's for the electrical pass thru hole in the rear tailgate (I don't run a 3rd brake light with the aftermarket tire carrier now) and another set to fill the holes in the tailgate from the two rubber bumpers that are not needed with my aftermarket tire carrier either! Much better!!!

Got my Jeep back from the dealer (replaced gas tank for the stupid gas puke problem) then went for a test drive to one of my fishing spots, where I found some nice mud puddles! One of them (among the first to get back there) was way deeper than usual, I had water coming over my hood. At that point I gunned it and hoped for the best. Made it out just fine but didnt want to go swiming to winch a hydrolocked Jeep out of there. Needless to say I skirted the edge on the way out. Now I want a snorkle! No pictures at the fishing spot....it's super secret.

I was realy thinking it would be muddier after all that. Stoped at a gas station to see my trophy marks and was a bit disapointed. Guess I'll have to go do it again!
