No it was good. People tend to go overboard with the plasti dipping

Makes sense-thanks for your reply!

I thought the same thing about leaving it in plain view but here in Pennsyltucky (carry state) you better be able to outrun my bullets or all of my neighbors bullets lol. A friend of mine turned me into an EBay seller who makes windshield mounts $24 shipped, powder coated. I'll be ordering a set soon.

Here's the link.

Those dont look like they have any vertical bracing. I mean, not that the lights weigh a ton or anything, but it just looks like bent metal, not even a thicker bend like angle iron would have. Check out Amazon, I ordered the KC mounts for the same price a couple weeks ago. Looks like theyre about $35 now but there are others on there in the $25 range that look stouter than those.

Installed Silblade Premium wipers, since OEM blades stopped working well. Also got Rain-X.

Also, was going through photos of my travels this past Summer and found this photo from Israel. There was some kind of military action and the highway got shut off, so we were all stranded there for hours with nothing to do. We saw three missiles get launched. Here I am hanging out the military and their Jeep J8, the AIL Storm III. It's a turbo-diesel I4 with 4.10's

I have them too. Your next mod IS SRS Racing harness. Trust me. No more flicker and just a tad brighter.

Tried my hand at Plasti dipping. Not good. But not bad for having zero experience with rattle cans or last dipping.

Of course. Others have suggested making your own but I wasn't going to go that route.

A little pricey for a piece of wire but it eliminates the flicker because its connected directly to the battery. It also gives a slight increase in light output. Not much but you can tell immediately after its connected that you're getting more light.

Please show me ones for $25 shipped that are as good as the ebay link.

Brakes and oil change

Spent a small fortune on new breaks and an oil change. During the oil chnange and tech said my transmission was leaking on my eletrical plug and I have to do some service on it and stop the leaking. Any one in the Houston/Tomball, Tx area know of a good place to get transmission work done? It's warranty work so I don't know if that matters.

Took her to the stealership to have the front driver side tire looked at. The tread is wearing in a cupping pattern.

The lady in the service dept. said the cupping is happening because I haven't rotated my tires enough; said that "with agressive tires like mine, they need to be rotated more often than normal." What? Why would it happen only on one tire, then?

Whatever...I'm sure it's gonna take all day now for them to look at it....sigh.

Yup, Stateline. I'm back at work now, but if I run into any snags, I'll definitely talk to Jay. Thanks.

She also told me that even though I use full synthetic oil, I still need to change my oil every 6,000 miles.

I have never heard that before.

Yesterday I installed the cb antenna and power source. Ran out of time to mount the unit. Removed the seatbelt chime, and did the fender blinker mod. Good day it was.
