Built an overhead hoist for my hardtop and removed it for the first time. About 10 hours total.

I've got them too they're from quadratec. Easy to install. Called eye lids or something. They're $50. Cheap and easy.

Just ordered 285/70-17 Duratracs and Level 8 17x8.5" Trackers for them to sit upon. 41000 miles and the stock tires are finally worn enough to warrant replacing.

I've been trying to find a way to hang up some hats in the back. I've mounted some hooks to the hard top and they either fall off (damn Florida heat) or the hats fall off. I found these at Ritz Safety - ERG3400BLK and they seem like they will work great. Plus, I can put them anywhere and they are strong.

I know I have seen on this thread about removing the bummper plates on the stock bumper. Does any one know what size star driver? I have gone through pages on this thread and can't seem to find it.

Hahaha...Right?!? I can't wait until my free oil changes are used up. I tell them just oil and filter don't touch anything else!! It amazes me when the plate on the door jam says 35 and they insist on 40psi. :banghead twice:

haha, exactly ... I'm now convinced that:

[What I say] please don't change the psi in my tires, they are correct as is.
=
[What they hear] please put lots and lots of air in my tires so I can feel every miniscule grain of dirt and feather on the road.

Got my AEV Pro Cal module in the mail yesterday. So today, I turned off TPMS. Not gonna need it in a few weeks anyway since the new wheels and tires don't have sensors.

Hey guys so I pulled the trigger and just bought some 2.5" coil spacers front and rear and they really do give a true 2.5" of lift, my question is can I buy a 2.5 coil lift or even a 2" coil lift and still use these spacers for a total of 4.5"? Will I need to worry about anything ?

Got my poison spyder brawler mid back from the powder coated today and installed it. Along with some mopar hella bright lights until I get a winch mounted. I love the look just wish my 35x12.5 tires weren't 2 weeks back ordered.
First pic is with a 2.5 TF coil lift and factory bumper.
Second pic is during the install without the bumper.
Third pic and after is after the install.

to answer your question - yes you'll need to reconsider quite a few things... if you go to 4.5" lift, with the stock control arms and no track bar relocations... your geometry is going to go haywire and you'll be chasing your tail trying to make your rig drivable again.

nothing wrong with piecing a lift together, but when you get up that high you're going to want adjustable control arms, probably going to need a front driveshaft, an adjustable track bar (front)... you'll need brake line extensions or relocation brackets, new shocks, or brackets to use the shorter shocks with the increased lift height.....

the list could go on.

Yeah, what's with 40 PSI. I had Goodyear SilentArmors installed (same size as stock tires) and they put 40PSI in them at tire place. I dropped it to the 37 stated in the door frame but after oil change at dealer, dealer put it back to 40. I have to admit, though, that mileage improved a bit and ride seems fine. But why 40?
