Had nothing planned for the weekend so I grabbed some supplies from Canadian Tire and did some painting.

For the 2012 black Rubicon and put the soft top on right away.

It came with the Toyo 285/75/17 Open country M/Ts and Motorsport Maverick wheels. I took a 2k hit but those alone made up for that.
Those wheels are nice. Jeep Looks great.

How do you like those tires so far?

Didn't do anything to mine but helped someone install a receiver hitch and wiring kit. A lot easier when you do the second time.

Me too. I took the carpet out today in preparation for Line X. Maybe. I'm not opposed to the look of no carpet and may just go with some AEV mats or similar for a little while.

something that bothers me, is knowing if i am on too steep of an incline (left to right). i was out by myself and turned back because i felt like i was going to roll over. i doubt i was anywhere near close but with sway bar disconnected it feels way worse.

does anyone have anyway of knowing? im stock 13' jkur

If you are going along slowly, you can normally feel that point where the Jeep gets "light" on its feet, just before rolling. You could always get an inclinometer for the dash. Or, just drive behind someone else and see if he rolls!

If this gives you any kind of visual idea, at this point our JK's were still very much comfortable to drive without feeling like rolling. 4" and 35's

To note this is a JKU-only issue and fix.

Attached spiderwebshade to the freedom top holes in the soundbar pf my jk with eye-bolts. Rubber grommets top and bottom was probably overkill.

Solves two problems at once: Gave me two solid attachment points for our dogs harnesses and stopped the flapping of the shade against the soundbar.

Went topless for the first time, then, installed my Bestop Trektop NX. It wasn't took difficult, except that once installed, I can't latch the front latches. It's less than a quarter inch too short. grrrr I hope that it will stretch a bit overnight, if not, I don't know what I can do. Any ideas?

Removed the soft top and put the hardtop back on today. I got stuck working on my mom's car and couldn't get it finished. So, I let my brother take my Jeep home with him so it could be garaged with the ST on. He brought it back today, but I still don't have the car finished. So, I feel better about the hard top being on it when it has to sit outside overnight.

I've got a road trip to Austin coming up in a couple weeks. The soft top will go back on when I get back from that trip.

Set aside a few hours to replace my stock res radio with a Pioneer Ava 8500 HU.
It ended up being more difficult than I thought.
I ended up adding a backup cam, parking brake override, Bluetooth mic, and iPod controller.
That stuff definitely added to the complexity. Got everything mocked up and working and now have to unplug and route all of the wiring.
Will post up some pics when finished.
Just got back from an amazing Moab trip and ready to get some projects done on the JK!

Oh yeah, also picked up some LED reverse lights that are much brighter than stock - helps the backup cam picture at night.
