A few hours after work each day plus get my normal household duties tended to nakes it hard. Doing it outside so I need to clean up before it gets dark. With the wife working as well we are tight on spare time. She will be done tonight. My brother is coming into town with his new Toyota something. Need to show him up with what a real 4X4 should look like.

Yeah I installed mine( the offroad 14') hand tightened in the best I could and a few days later i wiggled it and the bloody thing was loose. So I wrapped a cloth around it to protect it from the pliers and gave it a good twist we'll see how it holds though
I went on the highway and I could see it moving a bit in the wind which annoyed me cause maybe i thought i came loose again but it was tight. How's yours holding out? Make sure it's on their good.

I put the doors back on today and wiped out the dust inside. Gotta go back to work and I drop my daughter off on the way, so she rolls around with the Jeep buttoned up completely.

i literally just walked in and posted on the forums. once I take it out I'll let you know, if it starts to wiggle lose, I may put some blue thread locker on it, but I hand tightened it with mechanics gloves on that have really nice rubber grip.

Hard top - soft top.

Finally had a chance to remove the hard top on my wife's ride. here are some progression pics, with soft top going on. Also during the process, she had a client drop off a dog, which by the way was in a yellow jeep, had to take a pic also.

First oil change. Other than draining time took about 10 minutes. The cartridge filter on the new Pentastar rocks.

Got a chance to put the Safari Straps on.

An old dude was leaving the top level of the parking deck as I was walking back to my Jeep after taking some photos. The conversation:

"What is that thing?"
"It's a Jeep."
"Doesn't come like that, does it?"
"No. I took the doors and top off for summer."
"What if it rains?"
"I put the doors and top back on."
"Huh. Looks nice."

Gotta love it.

I changed oil this week, and noticed the Negative Post on the battery had corroded the wire terminal. So today I hooked up my Batt Charger to the wire lugs and removed the terminals from the posts and cleaned the posts and put on some Battery corrosion inhibiting felt washers...Put the terminals back on and it's good to go....I use those felts on all my other rigs, they work good and only cost a buck... Pretty much plug and play. You just need the connectors and mounting bracket. Here are links.

Speaker Wiring Harnesses For select 1999-up vehicles at Crutchfield.com

Speaker Mounting Brackets Fits select 1980-up vehicles (for 5-1/4" or 6-1/2" speakers) at Crutchfield.com

And here are the speakers I went with but I got them cheaper somewhere other than crutchfield.

I installed that skid plate also. Didn't line up on my 2012 though. Had to drill a couple new holes. Looks awesome though.
