I suspect there may be a correlation. (sorry, I saw this and couldn't resist!)

got a ticket for making a "left on red"

basically I pulled out partially into the intersection and then when the light turned red and I continued on to make my left turn after traffic had passed.

I'm sure its against the law, but who doesn't do this? not too happy about this one.

Its been quite awhile since I've had a ticket, maybe 7-8 years or so. Partially because Ive been lucky, but partially because Ive been more responsible. I deserved those ones in the past, not so sure I deserved this one.

I see this ALL THE TIME. I do it almost daily it seems. I see LEOs do it all the time. I thought it was accepted behavior. Sucks that you got busted for this though. I guess this particular LEO was having a bad day or needed to hit some quota. :/

yeah it feels like a wrong place, wrong time incident. I always thought it was acceptable practice

I was really hoping for a warning, I was polite, had everything ready to go for the officer, its been 4 years since my last accident, and 8 since my last ticket, but no, instead its going to cost me $138.

Hopefully my insurance doesn't go up.

Look up the local law on it. I thought that if you were over the stop line before it's red, it was ok to clear the intersection? With all our red light cameras here I just wait anymore.

I think most laws get you once you go over the line without time and space to complete the left turn.

It's blocking the intersection or gridlocking or some such terminology.

I stay behind the line. Learned my lesson on that one.

That really sucks. I’ve ran with no front plate here in CO since 2000 with never an issue. Been pulled over a couple of times, but never given a ticket. My buddy is a State Trooper and he says they use it just to pull someone over so they can run their details for warrants and such.

Where i live you have right of way when that happens. If the light turns yellow anyone in the intersection has right of way because theyre blocking the intersection. of course these jerks have to beat the light so im always honking at them and giving them gestures. So you were only there because someone ignored your right of way

So how do they give photo tickets to out of state drivers???

And photo tickets are unconstitutional.

I also paint my license plates to reduce lidar effectiveness....

Went to bed without parking in the garage. Shop-vac 2 inches of water out at 5 A.M. Can't see plugs that early in the morning.

Same here. Florida is real bad about drivers running lights. They think they have the right of way when turning right on red. No stopping just a nice steady roll!

All I did was spent money on stuff that I won't get to play with till next week. Nothing too exciting tho, just some paracord and head unit (and an amp, 6 speakers, and a powered sub...)

Just changed the oil and filter in no time at all today in the JKU. I really like the oil filter set up on the top of the engine. Went with Mobil 1 synthetic 5w20w and a WIX filter. Tires were rotated as well. Now I just have the TJ front and rear lower control arm bushings in a 3" Terra Flex kit to replace tomorrow. Hope it goes as well.
