I've done it many times on the way home from work, which includes about 40 miles of highway with no problems.
I've gone 65 and no problems. If you roll the rear window, it's even better because the air will flow through. It's a smoother ride. If your rear window is dirty it might scratch up. Make sure it's clean before roll.

A found a small oval led marker light at "Flash equipment", they are also online. I drilled a hole for the wires to pass through and tapped 2 hole for the stainless screws. I cut off the factory connector and used in line waterproof splices. Then tucked the wires behind the wheel well liner and zip tied to keep secure.

Save $600 and do the fenders yourself. Spend the savings on something else!

Well done! Looks sharp, I was looking to do the same with mine. Thanks for the info.

The first week I bought it I put larger 33" tires on the stock 17" rims and experienced some rubbing. Then I tinted the front windows to match factory. I also ordered light guards for the front end, since it came with rear light guards. Waiting for the headlight and side light covers to come in the mail. One challenge with the fog light covers is they don't fit with the silver billet bumper insert. So, I had to remove that until the hubby does some mods to that and puts it back on. I've attached a photo with/without the front insert. The back bumper insert is still on for now. When I get new front/rear bumpers they won't be used anyway I guess.

Last but not least I put a 2.5" Teraflex spring/shock lift on with 1.25" Teraflex wheel spacers and added NFAB Nerf steps. Looking a little better now. :-)

Took the silver Sahara trim off my rear bumper and relocated my trailer electrical plug so it won't get ripped off on the trail again.

What brand? I saw a third row seat once and can't find it anymore. Now all I can find is the ones that sit sideways like the ford rangers had.

Well, Teraflex makes a (just about) drop in setup for an JK 2 door back seat to fit into a JKU.

I own a TJ also. I robbed the TJ's back seat and hardware, welded a bottom plate.

There are other ways to do it easier, I just had enough material laying around to do it.

So the back seat tumbles and comes out with little effort.

Hmm Today... Cleaned out the back from hauling a bunch of crap for my neighbor who is moving. Finally took off the dealer emission sticker (bought the jeep late Fri Night), and broke it's cherry. Took it up to Sevenmile trail outside Ft Collins CO. Got my first little scratch on the paint job but other than that, a perfect day. Guy in front of me cracked up that I was on a trail before I had 200 miles on it. But hey, I didn't buy it to drive on pavement.
