That's great work JKFF.

I'd certainly be in the market for something like this. I'm wondering about the differences between different year JKs. My 2013 dash center stack doesn't look the same as yours. Mine doesn't have vertical bars where you've mounted the middle snaps. Which then got me thinking, to make it so you don't have to mount snaps right smack in the middle of the dash could you utilize only four snaps? The top 2 are a must, but what about putting the lower two wrapped around slightly and that would hold the cover taught enough from what I can see?

Rather than having snaps, why not have a couple of pieces of elastic sewn into the top and the bottom of the cover? Each elastic would have one end sewn into the hem and the other end with a small hook on it, that would enable you to hook the top of the cover to the lip at the back of the dash and the bottom of the cover to the side of the gearbox trim, or possibly the mesh pocket. You wouldn't have to drill the dash then.

Genius! Of course you should have kept the idea to yourself and marketed it Why didn't I think of that?

I have seen this before, and wondered, does this count enough to make you legal? In Ohio I know we have to have 2 mirrors at minimum, a drivers side, and either a middle on the windshield or one on the passenger side.

I picked up a lange mirror to make things proper, but I dont care for it, I would love to go this route.

This is the way I roll doorless in Ohio. I have some bike mirrors on for show and to be legal. They are cheaper at Walmart, but I hate that store, so I paid $2.50 each at Autozone or someplace like that. The 2" size from the auto parts.

From what I read on the Ohio Revised Code, you actually only need the windshield mounted rear view. That said, from a personal safety standpoint, I'd at least have an externally mounted mirror on the driver side.

so i dont have to quote everything, i have seen it before on another jeep but his looked a little too big to spin around, so i got the smallest they had, it has really great coverage actually and it just small enough to slide past the vent. for everyone that is asking i got it at advance auto. smallest round one they have, has the sticky stuff on the back its $2.99

oh and i got it naked for the first time

Thats comforting from a legal stand point. I work in an area that is constantly crawling with police, and they have been busting people (including myself) for trivial offenses lately.

from a safety standpoint, I would want to have more than just the center mirror. One of these little circle mirrors would be perfect. I'm thinking I might do some strong velcro so I can get the bigger mirror, then take it off when I want my vents.

the little one is more than enough since its convex you see more than you would with a flat mirror

Are you making matching ones to cover the steering wheel controls/clockspring?

Have you settled on the pictured design? Perhaps a dedicated thread would be a good idea? I'm interested but I'd like to see where design changes take place, if at all.

Look at him go, he's got a brand name and everything already.

Will you be doing one to fit the '11+ dash?

I'd love that as well. There was a lady on the forums last year making some steering wheels covers that extended down to the base of the column at the dash. A matching set would be cool.

I put out a distress call, Lego Down! Lego Down! To the rescue came the experts. She was moved from the general hospital to Spa-4WheelParts. Shes making new friends and talking trails. She's riding the lift and kicking her shoes off. She's playing with JKs, TJs and CJs. I can hear her now, "silly trucks, they come in here lookin all cute, but then they get all shy when our tops come off" she's such a diva. In a day she can come home and we will discuss her spa day.
