I have had the top and doors off for the last three weeks. Gonna enjoy today but have to put everything back on it as I start traveling again tomorrow. Two weeks of travel..then a week off...and the doors will come off again...

They are old fake wood floors that i pieced together in the garage from scraps. I actually have them down to protect the garage floor. I am pulling them up today since we move out of our house tomorrow. Believe it or not there was not to much overspray and it cleaned up easy.

Well it was the battery terminal.....took it off to clean it really well & it was half corroded off! Makes me angry because that's the one thing I told the dealership I wanted them to do before I bought it-replace the battery & the cables. They replaced the battery but now I think the only cleaned up the cables. I only bought it this past November so I've had no reason to lift the hood since I checked it over prior to signing the paperwork. Lifted the hood yesterday & the battery was just covered in corrosion! At least this was an easy fix....
I had the same problem on my '06 TJ. You can prevent this from happening in the future for about $5. At any autoparts store they sell felt circles you can place around the battery terminals and a goo you can smear all over the connection between the battery and cables. I did this and never had the problem again. I hope this helps.

Permatex sells a purple spray can that you spray your terminals with. I've used that stuff for years. It's always in my toolbox. I never get corrosion problems.

Thanks.....I actually am a store mgr for Autozone. Just hadn't had no reason to redo what the dealership had done. Needless to say, I have new terminals(used marine battery terms as they are heavier duty), felt washers & terminal protectant & grease are now in place.

Sorry-that was very poor grammar. Just hadn't had any reason to redo what the dealership had done.

Just installed my Spiderweb Shade. For those of you that have done this with the unlimited, and I think I know what to do, the grommets where the freedom panel bolts go through, there is fabric over that. Should I just punch a hole in it? I know some of you say to just leave those out, but if I wanted to put them I guess that's the only way. Just wondered what everyone else is doing.
Thanks

The SWS I have on my JKU has grommets for the bolts with no fabric in them. Haven't had the hardtop on over the shade yet, but I'll probably take the shade off when I switch back to the hard top for the winter.

I put my SWS on my JK last week. The fabric over the grommets for the FP screws on mine were velcrow tabs. I am guessing they put those on there for people as an option. I just peeled them off. One was difficult to remove, so I just poked it with the FP screw to get it to start peeling back. I hope this helps.

Buy a boot for that jack, if you expect it to work when you need it - it'll gum up with dirt pretty fast hangin' there nekkid.

Looks good though.
