Boy is this jeep costing me money. But I can't stop. Love putting in the wrench time too. Every project seems to be a challenge but only makes it more satisfying when I'm finished.

I didn't know that either. I bought a black one last summer. The black one might have an "accident."

I fix a truck mega train air horn in the front bumper ( winch space )
Bought the horn from eBay for 25$ with shipping and used the existing air compressor system with 145 psi.
I customize a cache tank to supply the air to the horn ! I don't know if it needed but I did it.
I placed the tank above the frame as in the pics
It is really loud and I am satisfied.
Sorry for the unclear pictures.

The cache tank is a GI 3" pipe compressed to an oval shape to sit in the frame 😁

Actually I just meant so we could hear that awesome air horn, not watch the install, although that's a good idea too, but way more of a pain in the ass.

I saw a documentary on youtube about sometimes dealerships will recommend un nesscary services. Sometimes to make up for low sales in the sales department.

Though if you do alot of wheeling, and mud and water I would probably go for it. Id have to look at the reccomended differential fluid change though.

Before measurements were 36.5 inches from the ground to the bottom of the front fenders flares. The back measured 37.5"
After The front measures at 38" and the back of course still measures to 37.5" since I was not able to complete it.

I hope the back only comes up a half inch to get rid of the front leaning rake. The springs are definitely thicker. I did a test drive and it handles better to and the steering wheel appears to be perfectly straight.

It took a little over 2 hours to do the front. The back looks easier but hard to say until I get in the old springs out. First time trying to do this so I am pleased with how easy the jeep is to work on. I think I could do the entire jeep in 2 to 2.5 hours if I had to do it again.
The back sway bar will need a relocation to kep straight and the steering wheel is only 2 bolts and a double threaded bar in the front. Loosen the bolts and spin the coupler up nd the teeming wheel turns left. Turn it down and the steering wheel turns right. Easy process. No reason to worry. Project-jk.com has the answer to this.
