Nothing today, but yesterday, I ordered my Ion 171s and Duratracs in 33x12.5x15. Tuff Country 2.5" lift kit. Dual steering stabilizer. Some other crap. I'll be busy next weekend when it all gets here.

Vacuumed, Washed & Waxed. Also got bored and decided to paint the engine cover gecko, well see how it goes.

The other day I also parked next to an orange lotus, the two look great.

GraBars!

We had a M&G in SoCal @ Big Bear Mountain over the weekend and I had a lot of people ask me about my Grab Handles, so I figured I would share with the JK forum.

They are Called GraBars and I got them here: Welcome Distributing

These are the best grab handles that I have ever used. They are well engineered and are rock solid. I have the front and back GraBars and my passengers use them often. Definitely an upgrade that is must have!

Install takes about 15-20 minutes

Went to the PA All Breeds Show and picked up an front bumper and Spidershade. Installed the Spidershade yesterday (what a difference), and did the bumper today. Didn't take more than two hours to remove and install the bumper.

Went to Hurricane Creek off I-40 in Western North Carolina.

Met up with 4doorcrush and another jeep from Hendersonville. It was great! Beautiful location and lots of fun. Went around the loop once with them, then we went back around a second time and I got to drive!

Echoing Finn, I have a pair of the fronts, and they are rock solid. I tried paracord, and while I loved the look, they moved too much to be effective for me. These haven't let me down yet. Overall, probably my favorite $100 mod so far!

I used my hi-lift jack to lift and level my 12x16 shed. Then I drove Saphira in the rain. Free Car Wash :-D

Learned how to wash and clean a jeep...

1. Coat jeep in sufficient layers of mud and dust
2. Obtain 3000 psi pressure washer
3. Obtain shop vac and miscellaneous attachments
4. Vacuum inside
5. Pressure wash exterior, including underside
6. Repeat 4 and 5
7. Repeat 5
8. Repeat 5
9. Repeat 1
......etch, etc,

Just clayed the wife's JKU today. All I can say is wow!!! What a difference!! After I finished claying it, I put a heavy coat of wax. I can not believe the amount of contaminants on the surface of her Jeep.

Yeah, these are solid steel, not hollow or flexible at all. If these GraBars can't keep you in place, nothing will!

Nice job!

I sprayed some hi temp black on my muffler to hide it a bit and rigged up a hi-lift mount with some 2.5 inch u-bolts and angle brackets.

We love our front GraBars, too! We also bought the para cord handles first, but I've likened using them to get in and out of the jeep to swinging on a trapeze.

We don't have the bars in the back, so I can't comment on them.

I just ordered the same thing, I was doubting if it made a difference, but I guess it does. Today I washed and waxed my jeep, but there were still some parts that didn't feel smooth, and I have a 2013 sahara unlimited.

You will not believe the difference it makes in the clarity of the paint. Just make sure you wax after you clay bar, as claying removes all wax.

Take care!!

Today I attached the Hula doll to the passenger side of the dash. "She'll dance all the way home" (Space Cowboys).

Also the top of the recently installed stubby antenna can be seen in the Hula picture. The weakest FM station I have preset hardly comes in but I usually listen to satellite radio.

A few weeks ago I completed the grill mods when I added the headlight and turn signal bezels to complement the DIY gutter guard mesh with the store bought inserts. I forgot to buy the cutesy eyebrow headlight bezels which is probably for the best.

You may have noticed the locking hood latch. I'd hate to come back to the Jeep like at a trail head in the middle of nowhere and find the battery stolen! That and the locking gas cap were among the first mods.

Just found out today about the Metal Cloak fenders and that might be my next mod.

Tried this Saturday, was not impressed. Didn't notice anything coming off onto the clay, didn't even remove waterspots off the hood.

I'd like to do that trip some day. I'm in Raleigh and have heard of this trail. Is it worth the extra effort if I'm headed out that way anyways? I'm really trying to find a mountain experience without driving too far.

Well, installed new lower front Metal Cloak arms, adjusted the uppers(terraflex). My brother backed into my jeep a bit ago and I hadn't got around to changing the core support which he hit directly with his hitch, so I did that as well and along with that I installed a new black grille(jeep is red), and a set of the trucklite headlights. All in all a productive jeep day, now on to the mustang.

No need to clay bar a newer car--that's why you found nothing.
