Was gonna order the Daystar Hood Wranglers from Quadratec but didn't feel like paying $70 shipping for a $25 item.....think I'll just remove the spring instead. Hopefully get same result.

Oh and gonna do the Zip tie thing too. Just read about that as well. Cheap. Easy. and gives me a chance to spend quality time with my Jeep on a Sunday morning.

Looks excellent. I was about to do a search to see what a sprayed black grill would look like on my silver 'un!

AEV 2.5" lift installed

Just took it for a drive.
Yesterday I finished the install of the AEV 2.5" lift with geometry correction kit, AEV premium bumper and Savegre wheels.
Stock tires for now, gotta let the credit card heal.

Also washed her in preperation for the tf install tommarrow, chickened out on doin it myself this round. I went ahead and let the grill just sit overnight after something like five and a half coats of plasti dip. I think it looks decent. My only question now, what else can I spray? I think I'll end up doing the bumper and fender flares. They need it real bad.

Time to go to work.

Coat number one

Coat number 2 or 3

Final product

Well, let's see. Key locks, trail rated badge, windshield brackets, door hinges, hard top interior, etc, etc.

Took the wife and son to breakfast this morning in the Jeep and then came home and washed the red Moab dirt off of it.

It looks even better in person. Used one can of Dupli-color from oriellys or autozone. Might give it another can for a little bit rougher texture down the road. Best cosmetic mod I've done by far. Only $10 too
