It has to be wired to the battery. There is a relay ground that can go to the chassis, but the negative ground has to be connected to the negative terminal. That's what the wiring diagram shows, anyway.

Should be able to just ground that hookup try that and see if it works. I don't see why it wouldn't the negative really isnt powering the light???!

Talked to Rock Hard 4x4 about my rusty bumper. They're going to cover the cost of sandblasting and powder coating.

Well, Mr. Brown showed up with my Spidertrax 1.5 wheel spacers this evening. These things are amazing quality!!! It was a very productive day. Got the Teraflex leveling kit installed along with the wheel spacers. It looks like a completely different Jeep....it even seems to ride better. I'm not sure I'm understanding that one yet.

Will post pics tomorrow, I just finished.....

I put the zone 3" on mine 2 months ago and am very happy with it. I would recommend loosening all control arm and track bar bolts after its installed and in the ground. Shake it. Let the bushings break free and torque back to spec. Ride has been great.

Aren't you supposed to do that before installing the lift? I don't know from experience, just reading about death wobble and watching install videos. I just ordered a 2014 and will be installing a lift and new shoulder bolts when it arrives. Looking for all info I can get.

We're talking about two different issues here. You're thinking of the need to replace the incorrectly sized, stock non-shouldered bolts. What I recommended is simply to loosen all bolts AFTER the lift is installed and on the ground. By doing that and shaking the Jeep a bit to let the bushings settle at the new ride height. Then re-torque them all while its still on the ground under its own weight. If this step is not done, the bushings can end up twisted and under constant pressure which results in a harsh/bumpy ride and increased wear and possibly premature failure of the bushings.

But why not just loosen them before the lift? No shaking required and you insure nothing is bound...?

Waxed him & took the his top off for the first time! Didn't have the right torx to take the doors off-gonna get it today! Found out that I don't need any side mirrors in IL. Talked to 3 different cops & as long as I don't have that restriction on my license, then I don't need them! WOO HOO!!

Gotta ask.....tried using Back to Black on all the plastic(fenders, bumper, etc) to restore it all but I don't see any difference. What do you all use on them to get the shine back? And what's the best thing to use on the tires to keep them shiny?

This! Turtle Wax Ice Tire Shine. I use it inside and out. On the tires, bumpers, fenders, etc. and all trim. NO after effects on any surfaces I've used it on. Tires get a nice glossy shine, trim gets a deep black sheen to it. Lasts at least a month. Been using it for 8 -9 months. You'll like it.

Restore Black - Bumper & Trim Reconditioner, 8 Ounces - Griot's Garage

If you want high gloss (on your tires) that lasts and not that expensive - MeguiarsDirect.com:Endurance® Tire Gel Endurance® Tire Gel

One of the few megs products I use. I usually clean the tires, then use a tire sponge to apply. Let sit for a while (at least 1/2 hour minimun), and wipe with a lint free towel to get rid of the excess gel. Let dry and this stuff stays on through washing.
