Not today, but yesterday, I got her completely naked for the very first time & took her down to the Woodward Dream Cruise Now I'm just asking myself why it took me so long to strip her I had SOOOO much fun driving it around with the doors & top off

This weekend I just enjoyed her. Took my girlfriend and her friend to a concert in Cincinnati. Further discovered how happy I am to live where I do. I couldn't handle living in the city haha. Also, the Jeep did awesome on the highway. Very impressed with how mileage held up cruising 80-82 most of the way (17.5-17.6 mpg on the computer at least). On a side not, I had more Jeeps wave back in the Cincinnati/New Port areas than I do where I live. The only Jeeps to wave back were modded though so maybe they were forum members? Lol

Thanks, it's kind of a mess now after two paint jobs inside of it, but it's a working garage not a show garage.

Put grill guard in today, installed the bullydog tuner, got the tire size changed, did the axle breather tube extension and relocation mod. Went to put the soft top on that I got on eBay, to find out the bar brackets were missing!! Now had to order those too!! Money pit number 5!!

Pasti-dipped the wheels on my baby today for the first time. Was nervous about it because I have a tendency to be impatient and screw stuff up, but I am happy with the results. Big thanks to you all because I never would have known about plasti-dip nor would I have felt comfortable doing it without reading all about it on this forum...so thanks everyone!

Just got the jeep out the shop. Smittybilt xrc armor fenders and rear corner guards are on and the src stinger front bumper and 10 000 lb winch also had the rugged ridge snorkel and jks disconnects installed and matching src rear bumper. Very satisfied

Added JW Speaker 6145 fogs..going back to JW 8700s. HIDS = better light output but I don't like the pattern as well as the 8700s...plus they are cooler looking. Also leaving the poor Jeep behind as I travel for two weeks.

Upgraded my stock 2013 2DR from Baby to Junior:

. Deep floor mats, tread patterns;

. New shifter knobs from Drake;
( Yeah didn't bother to yank on the old one... Paper bags, masking tape and dremmel to remove the old snap-in plastic ones)

BTW, I made a wad of eletrical tape to fill the notch on the shifter ends, it makes for a better seating for the screw, and added 1 layer of tape around the shaft to make it a perfect fit.

. Replacement pedals cover from AMI;

. BFG 33x10.5x15" KM2 (yes!!! 15") on ProComp 15x8.5 5x5 3.75" BS (19mm) Part #PCW52-5873;

No rubbing up/down with stock suspension, no rubbing left to right with stock flare and bumpers, enough clearance to fit 2 (yes 2!) page of papers between the rims and the hardware.

They do stand out about 1 1/2" outside the flares... Which isn't a problem, until I cross a zealous cop =D

But I'm having an issue, at speed (~65Mph, 100Kph, about 2k RPM, in 6th), 33.5PSI, balanced, etc. I'm having a hella lot of vibration compared to stock.

I feel it in the steering wheel, on the shifter and under the seat. Being this is a brand new vehicle (1500 miles only) I do not want to prematurely wear out the drive train/transmission.

In fact its about as bad as my '94 2.5L YJ (nicknamed trashcan) I still have.

I'll double check the balancing(?) at a pro shop tomorrow, but they looked fine when we mounted them.

Any hints are welcome.

Thanks. Yeah I figured...what the hell....at 6 bucks a can and it being totally removable...it can't hurt to try I've been eyeing up the plasti-dip thread for a while so I say "Go for it and don't look back!" Its cheap, easy and 0 risk...what more can you ask for?

I'm waiting for my Metalcloak bumpers which are already ordered so that I can put the fogs in as well. I have the 8700's and I love them. Can't wait to combine the two.
