Tried to get the doors off & failed. Only attempted the driver's door but it was not budging. Any suggestions?

BTW-it's a 2010 & bought is last Nov....not sure if the doors have ever been off.

Had a busy day getting ready for Moab next week. I finished installing my CB. Went with a location that I don't know if it is unique but I am very pleased with how it turned out.

Used the Cobra 75 something something that has all the control in the handle. This allowed me to put the unit beneath the steering wheel underneath the panel by fabricating a pretty easy bracket.

I then cut out the little round mesh in the panel which fit the rubber grommet perfectly. So the mic hookup is right on the panel. The other line is for audio. With a little adapter, I can plug into the aux port and hear the CB through my speakers.

Tuned it up tonight and it all works well.

I also finished up putting on the River Raider aluminum skid plates. For what it is worth, they do work with the Tera Flex long arm suspension with some modification.

I had to cut out a small portion on the gas tank skid to fit around one of the bolts on the passenger side control arm. I also had to cut out a good portion on the t/c, transmission skid to fit around the big protection box that they put around the front control arm.

Then to top it off, I have the Nemesis rock sliders on so that prevented me from using one of the bolts that holds the same skid plate to the frame rail. So I had to ream the hole out a little bigger, weld the nut onto a small steel plate and then weld that onto the frame. It actually turned out well and I think it works better than the original design. It also makes it easier to take off if needed.

Then I had a heck of a time with the oil pan skid. I think it might be because my Jeep is a 2013 but I am not sure. But it would not fit up around the junction box for the transmission cooler lines on the passenger side. So, I did some cutting of the skid and modified the bracket somewhat. Got it to fit just fine and there is no danger of the plate hitting the junction box now.

It took some time, patience and a little creativity but I think the end result was great.

And yes, I know, the oil drain access door is off. I installed the Fumoto drain valve and couldn't find the door to put it back on. I will run across it soon!

Then to finish things up (for today) I put on the new tail gate table I picked up a few weeks ago. The install was very easy for one person, about 15 minutes and it is very sturdy. No drilling, which I like. I also like the extended work space.

Oh, and I also wired up the outlet for the ARB Fridge in back. I should be good to go!

Welcome to the lifestyle my friend. Your new wrangler is 100x cooler and more versatile than that watered down streetrod you sold.

Pebbles, when I took the doors off my jeep they were stuck also. This is how I removed them and it worked great.

On my carport I have an I-beam that I hooked a ratchet strap to looped it under the door with a towel rolled up to cushion it against the door. Ran the strap back up to the I-beam. Added pressure and the door eased off. Was very easy. Took maybe 15 minutes.

Good luck.

Might have to try that. Guy here(where I live) used a jack to try to get his daughter's JKU doors off & either bent them or popped them so hard that the door went flying & it landed paint side down on his driveway resulting in havering to buy 4 new doors.....def NOT what I want to do! LOL
This way seems much easier & more logical.

The install was ok, a couple of the nuts are really hard to get on. My wife had to use her small hands to get the four inner washers and nuts on, and tightened them from above with a flex head socket wrench with deep well and short extension. The outer four are easy to get to from underneath. Install your driving lights before you put the bumper on. Now the next hurdle will be to get the front two winch mount bolts in!! Honey I need your small hands again!! :-)
Thank you!

Sport with painted fenders? The top is not painted? I thought the color match was only on saharas.

i swapped to painted. the guys that i used for the work i had done on my jeep had a pair in the shop that they had removed from a sahara for me so it worked out. i know they will be bad for trails but i'll do more mall crawling and i thought that the painted ones look nicer but wanted to keep the stock style instead of buschwackers or something like that
